I have now finally managed to get the plugin to load correctly after hibernation. I do not know why I had the problem with the plugin but I have two USB-to-serial devices (DAB radio and OBD interface).
What I did to fix the problem:
Uninstalled and deleted all USB-to-serial drivers.
Installed latest drivers from FTDI http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm
    Uninstalled and reinstalled Centrafuse
    Now it works correctly.

Mono/Stereo with a small LCD icon would be nice... if possible, of course.
And is the signal strength something that can be made visible with master firmware?
The V5 FW Im using for testing does have a status output where you can check for power/mode/signal/audio etc etc. In fact I do have a plugin that shows all the info. With CB's V7 I dont think it has a status command, well no one here have mentioned it. Usually a command is sent and the module would output the current status of the module.

The master firmware does not have any status command, the only way to get the status is by decoding the display.
    Failure is not an option...

Note: The aerial lead, even if earthed within 3 inches of the socket on the DAB module, will not correctly earth the module with respect to RF interference. The braid in the Aerial lead is a shield; its pretty useless as an RF ground return.
    Recommended mod.
Less noise and the reception seems improved as well.

I thought as much, it looked like the FW was specially made for a basic radio. Just out of interest did you send a command starting from 0x40 all the way to 0xFF pair with the button release code of course and the module does not reply at all?

It can only respond to button press in the range 0x40 -> 0x80 since 0x0 -> 0x40 means button released. 0x40 -> 0x5F is already described in the interface so I scanned the remaining range from 0x60 -> 0x80 but there was no response at all, it just ignored it.

Thanks for letting others know it helped. It’s such a simple mod but it really does allow the DAB-FM module to perform to it max potential.

    Hi,

Well done to all that have contributed to this plug in, I have followed the thread since the start with great interest, being I brought one of these units then updated Centrafuse then to find the DAB unit I only just brought not to work, so was a bit Gutted.........

I know this is a stupid question and maybe I missed something, but how do you install the plug-in to work with Centrafuse 3.5 as most the plug-ins are downloaded via the app market, is it installed like the old plug-ins where before the app market was available?

Hope someone can help me as I think Im having a blonde moment lol

    Centrafuse Directory > Plugins > DABRadio >

    Languages > (English.xml)
    Stations > (station logos)
Skins > Clean > (skin images and skin.xml)
    DABRadio.dll

With the above in place and after restarting CF, you should be able to find the DABRadio plugin in the CF system settings. There you can set the COM port and recording device.

I guess you have to copy it to the plug-in folder ???
