I am down to a few problems/findings:
1.- If the plugin is loaded (even radio in suspend) I cannot hibernate computer anymore, its stuck at "preparing to hibernate"
2.- there's no way to assign hot-keys ? - the usual radio hot-keys does not seem to do anything
3.- Every time CF loads, it un-mutes the line in, causing radio to play music or just line-noise - this happens even if CF were playing MP3 - and resumes doing so.
in order to fix problem #3 - I need to enter the "DAB Radio" , press play and then pause (it mutes line-in)
-my plugin is from this post : http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/hard...ml#post1450078
Please remember that the master firmware of CB's Venice 7 is seriously lacking functionality to fully control it plus there seem to be different master firmware versions on some V7 modules... ibf had to take this into account when programming the plugin.
IMO ibf has already done a marvelous job by helping us out with a usable plugin for the Ultimate DAB.
Hibernating is not working properly on my system (yet) even without Ultimate DAB connected.
Maybe someone else can shed light on that issue as there seem to be members that have it working.
btw Did you already have a look at the advanced settings for the FTDI chip driver in the Windows device manager?
My hibernation problem is only when centrafuse loads the plugin (no centrafuse, OR no plugin) then everything works fine. So the problem is not in the FTDI driver.
The Mute/unmute problem, again, must be in the plugin, because when CF starts (and loads plugin) - it instantly un-mutes line-in. Correct action would be to unmute *only* if/when radio was supposed to play.
I've disabled the plugin for now, but hope for an improved version :)
I think the status information can't be read reliably from a V7 running master FW.

Further to this: Are you running the latest CF 3.6?
I seem to recall it fixes a mute issue present in 3.5 which also affected the Ultimate DAB.
Yes, running latest 3.6 - installed on a clean XP.
Venice 5 in RR
Just to let all know I now have Venice 5, with Sony FW, On CB board working in RR 100% to my liking.
If you have the time, and some soldering skills the end result is 10X better than the Master FW.
Many thanks to mitchjs for his help and all other who set this up in the first place.
I will keep looking for V7 Slave.
in what way is it better? is it clearer? or better reception or anything like that? or just easier to use?
What am I doing wrong? I uninstalled the old centrafuse completely including plugins and installed centafuse 3.5 and the new plug in for the radio and have found that it doesn't look like the screen shots and doesn't work. The funny thing is when playing on my desktop inside it does look like the screen shots and appears to work (no antenna inside though)
Both computers run windows 7, the car is 32 bit and the desktop 64 bit. The plug in in the car looks very much like the original CB one which I deleted when I deleted the original centrafuse folder after uninstalling through windows

Much more like a media centre radio than a portable.
Got it working. Looks like it was picking up an old copy of the plug in in another folder somehow.
