Can anybody send me the SerMMI firmware?
Has anyone yet measured the current consumption on +1V2 and +3V3 in activity ?
Anyone else built a Verona/Venice based DAB radio for carpc? It seems very quite in here.
Picked up the project again this weekend and built a simple harness pcb on stripboard. Used the regulators, caps, jack and header from the donor radio and a small inductor from the junk box. Using the 5v pin on the USB/TTL board as a supply.
Anyway, I plugged in the Verona and my £2.99 Chinese USB/TTL converter and it worked first time :) Chuffed!
One thing I have noticed is the serial text display in the Centrafuse plugin seems to lag. If I put the module into standby (so it displays the clock) the time is correct initially, but a few hours later it is an hour behind! The same applies for changing station, if centrafuse has been running for more than a minute of so, the display becomes near enough useless. The preset controls, however, continue to change the stations in real time. The standalone app works fine and the riderunner app was ok when I tried it a couple of months ago.
Has anyone else made any progress on their projects?
Have any of you good chaps examined the MonkeyBoard? DAB, DAB+ and FM using a Keystone IC. Couldn't find any reference to it on a site search.
Link is here
It has VB.NET frontend software and source code and looks pretty damn nice
Here are some photos of the very simple stripboard harness/shield I made for the verona (see previous post)
Also, this may be of interest to developers:
It is indeed very 'quite' in here!
Sounds like the Centrafuse plugin is maybe not processing the serial stream correctly. If you run it for hours, does the memory usage go up, as it buffers the yet to be processed messages?
I wonder how much the daughter module is on its own?
