It is a quick scroll through.

CF plugin is 80% done. In a few days I will get it in my car and post some previews.

OK, i have complete the RR plugin, didn't take long at all...

only 1% of RR commands are supported by this tuner
    lots of limitations here..

for one, i cannot retinue the tuner to the last freq, when RR restarts... hopefully the tuner remembers that on its OWN... i have no idea...since i dint have one
and cant officially power off the PC I'm testing with, or hibernate it

no RDS data or DAB data is available

    commands:
    Code:
    next, prev
    freq+,freq-
    tuneup,tunedown

all do the same thing, which is "scrollup" & "scrolldown" or <</+ -/>>

band - switches between DAB & FM
dabscan - does a DAB SCAN (also some seek/scan thing in FM)
    dabselect - select/nav button
    dabdisplay - changes display view
    dabmenu - menu button
    dabpreset;x - x = 1 - 10
    dabpreset,x;s - x = 1 - 10, will save the preset (works for fm too)
audio needs to be managed by the LINEIN
since i cannot even MUTE this tuner reliably

there are NO Playlists, nor direct tuning, since there are NO commands in the firmware for this...
i might consider, adding, the results of a dab scan, into a PLAYLIST...
but that is a TO DO item, since it doesn't fit any actual RR structures

and currently there is NO SKIN that supports this...
someone who has some talent, needs to contact me, and test, and make a base skin
so others can skin off that.... its not too hard
    -Thanks

Mitch: No offence intended but you are really making this radio look impossible to work with. I have answered each of your points :-

for one, i cannot retinue the tuner to the last freq, when RR restarts... hopefully the tuner remembers that on its OWN... i have no idea...since i dint have one
and cant officially power off the PC I'm testing with, or hibernate it
The unit tunes to the last station either in DAB or FM mode when it is restarted. You need to send the Power command when the system is going down (power off, hibernation, sleep, etc).

no RDS data or DAB data is available
Yes, it is. Line 1 is for the station name. Line 2 is for the currently playing / currently listening to information.

audio needs to be managed by the LINEIN
since i cannot even MUTE this tuner reliably
There is a dedicated mute command.

there are NO Playlists, nor direct tuning, since there are NO commands in the firmware for this...
i might consider, adding, the results of a dab scan, into a PLAYLIST...
but that is a TO DO item, since it doesn't fit any actual RR structures
We have fixed this in our application with ease. Obviously FM doesn't have station lists stored in the radio and it is up to you to store these in the application then send the up or down command multiple times quickly to get to that frequency (doesn't take long in our latest application). For DAB, just send the up command quickly storing the station list then all you need to do is send this again when somebody changes stations. We also allow you to reorder the stations in our application while saving the order so you can scroll either up or down depending on which direction is nearest.

Hope this helps you and I really do appreciate you working on this. I believe Bo gave you my messenger address (MSNM / WLM). Feel free to add me if you need any more help.

its not impossbile, its just not what is best for carpcs'
its a LCD with buttons, i understand why they(Frontier) does it
buy 1000 modules, slap in a box with lcd, buttons speaker, power and done
    ship your product
HDRadio too has master mode firmware... they just offer slave, and even a deeper option

if the mute command mutes, the radio, then what unmutes it?
let me guess the same command?, well then we dont have a mute command
    we got a mute toggle
now if i could ask it if its muted, then i could be 100% sure what im doing with it

line 2 only gives me 1 item, at and 1 moment...
    useless
line 2 doesnt tell me whats playing, if im looking at the CLOCK!
    -Thanks

When you see our Centrafuse plugin, you will see it works fine and is good for Car PCs.

if the mute command mutes, the radio, then what unmutes it?
Send the volume up or mute command again. I am not sure what the problem with a toggle button is? You just remember in the software what you last did with it.

True but you don't really need the clock in a Car PC. Most people will just leave it on the Now Playing option. The Display command allows you to switch this.

This all means you HAVE to get your RR plugin done very soon Craig so that everyone knows it will work as you say it will.
Why concentrate on CF first anyway ? Commercial ?

We started on Windows so all users would have something to work with and so we could get the DLL done. The reason we are doing Centrafuse second is because of some communication I had with them a few weeks back (can't go into any more detail) and because I use CF...

issue... without doing it manually... very hard
cause one would have to visually look up 128 chars (chars > 127)

any idea on the LCD charset CODEPAGE?
    its not ISO-8859-1
its close to CP 850 (old dos)
its very important for the oddball foreign chars (non western)
    -Thanks
