We have managed to get a station list and you can select a station from the list. The only thing you can't have is the ability to view signal strength, kbps, etc all at the same time. You have to press a button to switch between Now Playing, Signal Strength, etc. After having it in my car for a while, I don't see this as a problem, though. It hasn't caused me any problems and I am known for liking things perfect!Exactly which Slave functions are not supported and how do you compensate for them ?
Have you made this function configurable ?
My thinking is that most of the times you might want to press the button to see the signal strength (etc) and have the display automatically return after a preset time to show the Now Playing default but others might want the option of having the button work as a toggle and keeping the signal strength (etc) display mode showing until they wish to change it back.

That is correct. You press the button for this and it switches the display. It doesn't change again until you press the button again.

Ah so you are saying have an option to say either leave on what you select or roll back to the Now Playing information after a select amount of time?
Yes Craig.
I imagine that if a value was in the configuration file then a zero would mean the function toggles and any other value would have the alternate display change back that number of seconds after the button press.
Maybe a second parameter in the configuration file could select the default display when started (either Now Playing or Alternate display of Signal Strength, etc) ?

revheadkev, in master mode, there are no absolutes... the is no way to be 100% of any action... cant even tune it to a freq... ie if u wanted to listen to 102.1, there is no way to directly tune it... think of it as a 2 LINE LCD and some buttons... like craig said, 50k for slave firmware, aint gonna happen...
i posted a url to a pdf, which is the venice7 in a box...and it will work about the same on a car pc
i for sure cant trust button presses, it might ignor one or so.. if say its busy locking a freq... dont know for sure, if 4 display button presses will always get you to the same display view
course with a demo program, you can sure put it to the tests, and see if its consistent
ie... what display mode when u power off, is preserved when powered on?
does it go back to display mode 1...
these are the nightmare'ish questions, because of no absolute control
and 0 real feedback... i had to do a ugly hack just to determine if its actually on
course i have an electrical solution to that, craigbrass...
-Thanks

@Kevin: I will ask my developer to have a play with it and see what he can do.
Well we managed this by just sending the up / down command until that frequency is reached. There is a several second delay but it does work.cant even tune it to a freq... ie if u wanted to listen to 102.1, there is no way to directly tune it.
