FM/DAB digital radio - THAT WORKS!!

RedHeadKev, cant change the way the tuner works...
remember, its a 2 line LCD and a bunch of buttons...

you could ask frontier to change thier firmware to make it work how you want it to work :) (sarcasm enabled)

So,

The standalone program doesn't launch and the plugin is loaded by Centrafuse on my desktop computer but not on my Car PC (Win XP SP3)

here is a updated demo app

pressing and holding of the Scroll up / down is now supported
in FM, scans up or down (can release after scan starts)
in DAB, quickly lists avail stations, release to tune

few other clean ups...

rman: For the standalone application, try installing http://www.craigbrass.net/vcredist_x86.exe first. For the Centrafuse plugin, you may need to add it onto the menu via settings.

Thanks Mitch, was not sure how much of the display text was your program reformatting what comes from the Venice and what was displayed "as-is".
Maybe Craig could report this to FS as a "bug" and organise a firmware update :)

Mitch, can you email me the RR module and skin please, or is there somewhere on the forum to download from ?

im trying too, plugin is not showing in the settings, ay instructions how to use CF plugin?

I have also this error running the windows application: 'The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect'.
Have already tried the VC redistibutable, but hasn't worked. The old windows app has worked.

Mitch, maybe it gives access to another 8 presets ?
Can't find anything about it in the pdf user guide posted.
With the number of DAB+ stations available, 8 presets don't seem enough.
Wondering if you could have the shift button hold its status when clicked until another button is clicked and then send both button inputs together to the module ?

the tuner only supports 10 presets for DAB and 10 for FM

maybe on the shift, dont know, but all features seem to be there with out it
and i havent seen it used on ANY stand alone radios

10 is plenty!!! i got 30 radio stations here, i listen to 4 reguarally...
and NONE for music!
