Yes Peter, it worked for me without changing font but you need to get the Venice7 module plugin and RR skin from Mitch as he mentioned on p24 previously. You should not be using the existing Venice5 radio configuration in RRconfig.
He will give you instructions on where the plugin needs to reside in the RR directory structure.
After that there are 2 changes you need to do to RR.ini manually and will have to re-do if you alter the Radio part of RRconfig.
- go to the [Radio] section
- Radio=Venice7M
- RadioPort=(the port your module is on as shown in DAB_Master.exe when you connect)

Had the link already from Mitch and had already done the above described procedure. But in the venice7 skin I have this little window where the info should be, and this is empty. The radio plays in the background, so it is initialized by RR plugin. The buttons seemed to work, I can switch to FM ...

What RR skin are you running ?
The Venice7 module RR skin Mitch did is for the Carwings Dynamic Lite.
I changed to this and it all worked straight away.

Revheadkev, please do not clutter this thread with images or such of the RR plugin, contact me directly...you are the 1st person(outside myself) testing it
also, TURN OFF USE LINE IN PLUGIN, clearly you dont understand what thats for...
hense the second winamp... and set your RadioLine=x to the correct line, so that audio is managed


the FONT you got seems giagantic.. its just Arial, i do calculate font size based on the window size, but assumeing you didnt touch that you font seems way to big!

Here below are some pictures how I installed the module in a box.

This will go into the trunk of my car. In the box is also DCDC USB power module that I recently bought.

At the moment all is working very well and mitchjs plugin and skin is working perfectly.

I want to give craigbrass, mitchjs and all that have worked on this module a big thank you for this BIG upgrade to CarPC radio section from HQCT.

I will give you next update when I have installed it in my car again and tested it in the "nature"

So, i'm tempted to get this, but i'm a bit nervous as i am new to all this.
Is this going to be easy to install and get running? or is there a lot of messing around to get it to work?
I've got everything else i need except for the mobo/ram/hdd to get the CarPC running and they are on their way..
Oh, and how long will the introductory price be going for? Aussie customer btw..

fixed skin issue, so make sure you copy over the CDL skin files
and just run the installer as normal, version at 1.0.0.2

minor change, a gui thing, i didnt like the signal strength bar, happier with it now
and window was too big

What frontend are you running Sledge ? Centrafuse or RideRunner ?
For RideRunner, it will be a very easy install and get working. The plugin from Mitch is great.
Centrafuse I can't comment on, but I hope others will.
