Thank you for your feedback. Those are all issues we are working on. A new build tomorrow / Tuesday should sort the majority of them.

    Hello Craig
I received the radio but for now I could make some serious evidence as I miss the SMB-F connector, I'm looking on ebay and just buy it and I arrive I will be happy to give you my impressions.

PS. My system consists of Windows 7 and Riderunner and I downloaded the plugin Riderunner Mitch

Standard for FM is the Motorola connector. Standard for DAB is SMB (connector on this unit for combined DAB and FM).

Depending on the FM aerial, you may be able to just get a Motorola to SMB cable but you may find this doesn't work and need a dedicated DAB aerial or to replace your current one with a combined DAB / FM aerial.

    Hi sledge1,

A couple of us in AUS will shortly be getting an SMB-BNC cable with a BNC-motorola connector to test my standard roof-mounted amplified antenna and their standard fender-mounted extendible non-amplified antenna. This should let us know which antenna will or will not suit both FM and DAB+ reception here in AUS.
I expect the items to arrive in the next 2 weeks from the US so it won't be long after that we will be posting our results.
    VIA Pico ITX, M2-ATX clone, 7" Seform 800x480 LCD Touchscreen, Dual 2x75WRMS Mini Amps, IDE-CF & SATA-CF adapters, 8GB (Sys) & 32GB (MP3s) CF, ELMscan5USB, Slot-load DVD, Craig Brass DAB+/FM USB module, Odyssey Navigator

if you guys get stuck let me know and i'll sort out some SMB to Motorola Connectors. Depending on how good or bad the signal is, you may lose a bit through the impedence missmatch of connectors. I think by default BNC is 75Ohm, SMB is 50Ohm, Motorola can be 50 or 75 Ohm.

    Hi nrgizerbunny,
Your post got me thinking, so I have done some research (googling) and found that rg316 cable is 50-Ohm, SMB connector is 50-Ohm, car radio antenna cables are 50-Ohm and BNC is usually 50-Ohm except for Broadcast BNC which is 75-Ohm (according to specs on the Amphenol website).
Since the cable I will be getting is an SMB-BNC with rg316 then I HOPE the BNC will be the 50-Ohm type. Also since the BNC-Motorola adaptor has the 50-Ohm Motorola end then I ALSO HOPE the BNC on this connector will be the 50-Ohm type.
Got any clue how I could test the impedence when I get them ?

i have some car stero adaptors here for am/fm and they all using rg174

you can get rg174 with a smb preterminated...
then get some meta 40-UV45 the solder type motorola ends...
and make a nice short adaptor, like 6 "
at least one doesnt then have to deal with the coax crimp
    -Thanks

Mitch is right all of the antenna adapters we have are rg (radio grade) 174.
The cable you are looking for already exists. We normally use it for the HQCTi. If whomever is selling these tuners wants to contact us we could do bulk pricing on them.
