I have been providing daily updates to 6 users of this module as I want the next build produced to be near final and very stable. We should have this build out in the next few days. Sorry for the delay but we want everything perfect!

For those of us that don't have a spare line in jack, do we have another option? Will one of those usb to line in converters work?
Well a USB sound card would work anyway...
It is possible to have it configured with a TI audio over usb interface but this is rather expensive. a better option is to have a cheap usb soundcard.
i got a bunch of USB audio in devices
i need to sell em :)
tiny little suckers
really simple, 3.5mm jack in, and a mini usb connector
...i only made 25, got < 15 left
PM me...
I take it these just show up as a line in device under Windows? Do they work with XP, Vista and 7?
craig, yes line in, of course xp, vista, win7, (and mac)
infact they work much better in vista/win7
they just the TI PCM2900s, which annoyingly come on as a line/line out divice, at least in a REAL OS (Vista/win7) you can disable the LINE OUT side
in xp, u cant disable it, you just wouldnt use it :)
IT WORKS!
DAB+ is alive in AUS. :peace:
Got the connector and cable this morning and tried them at lunch. Hooked up the module with the cable and connector to the car antenna and controlled the module from my notebook with earphones in the module socket to listen with.
Initially had drop-outs when driving around because signal was jumpy and only upto about half-strength in the DAB+ display mode. Then I realised that because I had unplugged the head unit from the factory harness and not just the antenna cable, there was no 12V powering the antenna amp. This was very encouraging to have such a reasonable signal without the antenna signal powered.
So I jumpered 12V from the ACC/IGN pin to the antenna pin on the stereo wiring harness and FULL SIGNAL for DAB+. Have not driven around with it yet like this but with the visual difference in signal strength as seen by the module I think it should be OK.
Now just got to get it all connected to the CarPC. :)
Interested to see how the old passive extendable rod antenna of our other "tester" works with this connection.
Nice one Kevin. Can you post a full review for us to use on our site once you have been driving about a bit please?
