Just FYI, nrgizerbunny is just testing this with a couple of users before passing the design onto me.
With regards to size, the new design is pretty much the same as the old one sadly. Hopefully we can improve this in a few months.
nrgizerbunny I would be very interested in this build as craig's current one is unfortunately not "in case" friendly (where my HQCTi works very well) on account of size (due to capacitor height) and absence of onboard connectors, particularly CD In. I am pretty frustrated in the DAB arena starting over a year with a Albrecht DR403 USB stick (that works fantasicaly for 30 sec then crashes for DAB+ users).
If you need a DAB+ tester I would be happy to participate.
Cheers

Hey Craigbrass,
looks like nobody has given you feedback on the updated plugin so here goes.
Car PC = Infil G4 running nlited Win XP.
Absolutely fantastic. All the stations scan in and load perfectly each time. Gone are the initial troubles of the scan hanging at 98% and the radio constantly turning on and off when you first open the plugin. Good work.
Feature requests:
Currently you can only save a maximum of 10 stations to the list, can we have this expanded?Maybe add presets. eg. Preset 1 has the first 10 and preset 2 has the next 10 and so on.
Also, from what i can tell there is no way of deleting stations that have been added to the list without deleting the whole list and re saving them, can we have an option where we can individually delete the selected station?
Finally im running NickMacks Garmin mobile PC plugin which mutes audio when navigation directions are announced, can you make it so when the nav talks the audio gets muted or attenuated just like the integrated Destinator?
Thanks very much for the support and direction with this, for us early adopters its a real gamble purchasing hardware without the software being finalized and now after your latest update im happy to say that the software is all but finalized and works as advertised. If the above features can be integrated at some point in the future then this will not only be the best DAB+ tuner on the market but also the best FM tuner as well.
Keep up the good work
James
James, are you in the UK? Can you get BBC 6 music no problem?
Nah in ausrtralia currently have it connected to the factory window based antenna which doesn't provide the best reception, trying to find an alternative antenna which is proving difficult without having to import
Sadly, 10 presets is a limitation. The idea is you just store your common stations in the station list but can still use < and > to browse for other stations.Currently you can only save a maximum of 10 stations to the list, can we have this expanded?Maybe add presets. eg. Preset 1 has the first 10 and preset 2 has the next 10 and so on.
A newer version I will release will fix this. You do it through the Change Station List page. Also, from what i can tell there is no way of deleting stations that have been added to the list without deleting the whole list and re saving them, can we have an option where we can individually delete the selected station?
The standalone plugin can't really do this but both the Centrafuse and Ride Runner plugins already do.Finally im running NickMacks Garmin mobile PC plugin which mutes audio when navigation directions are announced, can you make it so when the nav talks the audio gets muted or attenuated just like the integrated Destinator?
I can get BBC Radio 6 ok in my Car PC - up in Cumbria here. Are you having problems?James, are you in the UK? Can you get BBC 6 music no problem?
We will begin supplying magnetic mount, glass mount and roof replacement aerials / antennas hopefully this week along with all cables required.trying to find an alternative antenna which is proving difficult without having to import
All the BBC stations are on the national multiplex with the highest coverage afaik. If you can get Radio 1, 2, etc, then 6 should be fine.
As long as I can get 6music and 5live, I'll be very happy.
On the subject of the multiplexer that you have talked about developing, will there be full RDS_TA functionality to go with that? By that I mean, the FM module can scan for TA while listening to DAB (and vice-versa) and switch to it like a HU would? This is something that I can do now with the Silabs, but only from a specific tuned station and while listening to something other than the radio tuner. If so, (and if I can have that function in RideRunner, Mitch?) then you can definitely put me on the list for a multiplexer.
Traffic Announcements are not currently supported but we are looking into it. It may well be a limitation of these modules.
