If you want to make your own, go find out about this Chris guys work, and copy it.

If you don't have the time, patience, or skills, throw some cash at a guy who is offering to do it for you.

Yeesh, if you aren't happy at what he is offering, don't buy it. Sounds pretty simple to me.

any chance that you have one er 2 ready built? er as kit?

Ive got a venice 7 but I cant seem to find the buffer to reprogram it, am I able to send it to someone to have it reprogrammed and once that is done will it still be able to receive DAB+?
or is it easier to just buy a completed version? I need DAB+ as most of the stations are only DAB+

Where did you get your Venice 7 module from?
Are you sure it doesn't already have the slave firmware you need? I don't know if a Venice 5 / 5.1 firmwarw will work in a Venice 7.

Anyway even with a programmer you still need a firmware to program it with and none of the ones who already have the firmware seems willing to share it with anyone. So even with a programmer you still need a working module where you can read the firmware from.

OK, thanks to the guys that replied to my initial question about AM.

After a little more reading (brief) I now know I need a DAB+, and this has most of the AM stations, so yipee, now is there a way to determine which DAB radios have the Venice 5/5.1/7 ?

There is a list of available DAB radios in Sydney Australia, approx 45 different brands, some are listed on Nrgizerbunny's site and some are not.

My other question is finding out it it has slave firmware or not..but after reading this this is still far from a DYI unless u have the firmware to prg it..

There is hope.

There is a Centrafuse plugin available for the Venice 5.1 module.

Only problem is nobody is actually sure if it works, chris wrote it but he had no way of testing it as we don’t have DAB+ in the UK.

The module is pin and electrically compatible with the Venice 5 so it should work in my mainboard. I believe the firmware is from a Pure Chronos, so if you use this as a donor radio, no flashing is required. I’m also not sure if Chris ever released the plugin on the free market.
