Actually I have the wave volume maxing out bug as well and have included that in my bug report post a few pages back. My CPU runs at 100% when runing the plug in which I believe is from the device turning on and off. This makes the computer so slow that it becomes un usable.
has anyone else had this issue in CF? plug everything in and appears fine, no error messages or anything. But using the buttons in the app the 'flash' to indicate they have been pressed - and that is all. I assume that when you hit 'tune/scan' you are supposed to get a progress bar, and that SOMETHING is supposed to happen when you use the other buttons. I get nothing.
The standalone application has the same results. can connect, but after that nothing does anything.

Confirmed this weekend in a poor signal area that my magimount Taxi aerial (£10 off ebay) beats, the on glass kinetic (http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic...ar_aerial.html) by some margin. Had signal errors of 40 with the Kinetic, reduced to 10 with the taxi aerial. All you need to do to the taxi aerial is trim it to about 31cm, and fit an appropriate connector

When navigating with the radio ON, I have also noticed that there is a fair delay after the turn instruction is said and the radio coming back on. It's longer than when playing an MP3. This doesn't really concern me too much at all, but worth noting.
Obviously with first version of stuff we expect bugs and that is why we are hear to post them, is there a timeframe for the next release of the plugin? And perhaps an official buglist that can be posted?
Oh yeah, I also had the voltage / current warning when plugging the radio into my Lenovo t60 - but not into my carPC. On the Lenovo it just flashed up and went away, it performed normally after that.

.Net apps usually target a particular version of the framework. While .Net V3.5.1 contained versions 3.x, 2.x and 1.1, .Net4.0 does not include previous versions (MS decided that at 300MB, the download would be too big!). As such, if you need 3.5.1 (and earlier) and also 4.0, you have to install 2 completely separate packages.
Also, for .Net 4.0 apps, it should also be noted that 4.0 comes in two flavours, 'client' and 'extended'. Client often provides all thats required, but its missing ASP.Net so the stuff to connect to a database is not present in 4.0 Client Profile. I've seen some poorly executed .Net4.0 pre-requisite checking that only checks the registy for the V4.0 key, not whether both the client and extended profiles are present.

For the people with problems with not enough power to the radio, try getting one of those splitter cables so you can use two USB ports to power it. That will work fine.
A lot of the issues are machine specific as it works fine on my machine bar a few small bugs. The next build should fix the lot. Expect it this week.Quote:

CF 3.2 will install either 3.5 or 4 out of the box anyway which will resolve this in the future but for now, 3.5 or above needs installing.Quote:

Aye, I guessed many of these would be PC specific, its a wonder PC's work at all given all the hardware permutations!
The wav volume thing is 100% repeatable on my setup, as soon as I select the audio sources, and switch to the radio plug-in, the WAV volume goes to maximum. Its possible that some folk have this, but don't notice since wav is maxed out beforehand. I'm on a USB soundcard (the infill's built-in amps are poor), this will complicate things, but as I mentioned it works fine with Andy's V5 plugin.
My CPU is slow which is why I'm noticing the CPU usage. If ever an 'Infill G5' or similar comes out, i'll upgrade!
Is there a document/include file for the DLL? I'd quite like to start tinkering!
