Ok guys ... here we go ... latest version is at http://www.craigbrass.net/centrafuse.zip
Hibernate now works flawlessly and all other issues mentioned here should also be fixed.
If you could let me know any bugs in the next 12 hours, I will get the developer onto them tomorrow and release a new build tomorrow evening.
Are you sure that you uploaded the correct file? I am not noticing any differences between that one and the last version regarding the issues I was having.
The DLL's in the root are:
RadioController.DLL --> V0.0.15.0, filesize: 72,704
UltimateRadio.DLL --> V3.0.505.1, filesize: 338,944
I assume these are the new ones?
For the record, in my quick test:
- The radio still turns on and off randomly when I goto the plugin
- The plugin is still setting the WAV volume on the mixer for my sound device to maximum (don't even need the DAB board plugged in to see this, the plugin does this everytime that CF is started so long as its in the plugins folder). I'll re-itterate that this has nothing to do with my setup, Andy W's V5 CF plugin did NOT do this, I cannot see why any other plugin would need to behave differently.
Me as a maximum volume at boot the PC. With the subwoofer amplifier :boom:

With regards to the flickering issue, this will ONLY happen when you first launch Centrafuse after updating the plugin. It will flash a couple of times while checking the status of the radio. After that, it should not do it again. Are you finding this isn't the case?
With regards to the volume, can you provide the exact reproduce steps? I can't replicate this.
For me currently the radio is switching on and off for as long as I am in the plugins screen. It works fine with dabmaster.exe I will have to do a video or something.
Regarding the maxing out of wav this can actually be heard while on the plugin config screen. If I enter that screen while playing music and select by source and dest audio I hear a sudden leap in audio volume.
There may be another instance of this same issue from someone else further up in this thread (loud audio).
Unfortunately with these two issues still present I have not gotten any further with testing.
Will try and sort a video out tonight
One other observation is that with your plugin I do get different options audio wise in the plugin compared to andys v5 plugin. I am also using a USB sound card due to build in audio in infill g4. Being rubbish
The volume issue I had was that when booting from scratch, as windows was starting (ie, showing just the background before CF would load) the radio would play (not sure which station, probably the last one selected) full blast. It happened in two short (4-5 second) blasts before the PC had booted fully and CF had loaded. This sounds different to Nigel's problem. It was a fair old shock when it happened though.

Come to think of it, I have added an Andrea SuperBeam and the USB sound card recently in an effort to set up bluetooth. Perhaps adding a new sound card means that something is being muted on startup or something? That said, I don't have the sound card plugged in at the moment, but I will check the device settings for everything. This hasn't happened before the new soundcard added, but hasn't happened everytime since either.
Craig - any ideas on this? Also, is anyone else getting it? It's a pretty big bug for me but could be isolated to just me.
one of the problems with this module is(when being used the way we use it), it will power up in the LAST state it was in!!!
so if left on, and power is abruptly removed, when power is applied, it will be ON
Try the latest build: http://www.craigbrass.net/centrafuse.zip
Issues resolved :-
- Sometimes radio would not be on when resuming from hibernation.
- After resume, sometimes radio would switch to opposite mode to what it was in when it was sent to hibernation.
- Crashing when resuming from hibernation.
- Volume getting reset to 100%.
We are now on the Centrafuse approved hardware list based on the build I posted earler which appears to solve most issues. See http://centrafuse.com/SupportedHardware.aspx
Newsletter, Twitter + Facebook announcement and news post on their site should be going live tomorrow.
