Thread: FM/DAB digital radio - THAT WORKS!!

now doing actuall tests

my FM presets do stick (UAC OFF win7)
(no idea how to delete one, other than registry edit)

now my audio, doesnt work... i assume one tested this on win7
i have the correct record and correct playback device set up
(or so it says)
when i set it in the advanced settings it works, but exit of CF
and restart CF, no audio...

i did see the tuner do some off/on/off/on stuff
cant get that to happen again
i know this, the tuner should be on when i start CF and never turn off till im done with CF! and there should be no button for power! at least not exposed

Currently the only way that I have to get it working is to use control panel. Setting an audio input to 'monitor' mode is not something that will survive a reboot either. I wish I could have gotten hold of the code or a spec sheet for the v7. I could have re-written it by now... I guess the same goes for you!

It makes no sense what so ever to roll your own audio mixer code when cf already has what you need.

Sounds like Andy maybe has something coming for the v7 maybe that will be better.

In my video you'll note that cf gets very unresponsive the first time I press the voice command button (when all the audio noise occurs) maybe this is a pointer to the causer.

I still have high CPU usage when the plugin is running normally. Maybe this is due to the use of 'audio capture' in the code rather than simply controlling the mixer directly?

I still have some confidence that Craig's man will sort it in the end.

Update: Quick video showing the radio switching on/off forever:- [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkhgPTC1ALY[/media] (with latest plugin). Looks like missmatch between radio state and CF plugin. Is the power thing just a toggle, ie is there not a descrete 'on' and 'off' command.

That will not work for me. I am using DFX4 and also have tried Carwings. When I press << or >> and hold these buttons the radio just jumps few steps, mostly it jumps just one step and stops even if there is nothing there.

any ideas?

no idea.... dfx4 doesnt have a venice7 skin as far as i know
the carwings_dynamic_lite does
and holding of the >> or << buttons, puts the unit into SCAN
maybe u got some wierd touch screen drivers that are breaking HOLD

when in doubt use my dab_master.exe program....
thats the reference

Well the dfx4 doesnt have venice7 skin so I made one my self.
This morning on my way to work i tried dab_master and there was the same problem. But then on my way from home the problem seams to have disapeard. Scan option is back to normal. I have no idea what was the problem but unless it comes back I am happy

hehe, well its not the commands going out.... it should say "scanning...." and stop when it finds a signal...

I've come across a slight problem.
In Centrafuse when I manually type in a radio station (eg: 96.1), as soon as I click the number 6 my GMPC Rebellium launches and Garmin keyboard pops up.
Anyone seen this issue before, or know what might be causing it?

I'm still getting my ear-blasting when the PC starts up even with the new plugin ... its got beyond annoying and the radio is unplugged now. I'll try andy's software and see what happens.
