    Hi

Its an Asus Xonar U1 USB audio jobbie. Its using the line-in so no point in selecting something else! Maybe there are very few people using USB audio. You'll note the issue is a real one from the video I posted I guess.

On your website you state 'Documentation for the Windows DLL used by our standalone application and plugins is also available to allow you to create your own application or integrate the radio with other software.' is this still the case, and can I get these docs and i'll knock up my own plug-in.

there is documentation, in the documentation directory
    RideRunner\Documentation\Radio Modules\Venice7 (Master) Radio Module.txt

but THERE IS NO REASON to power it off.. infact i recomend against it
and technically you can only toggle power
    (only command exposed)
    -Thanks

I really recommend that anyone thinking of buying this Radio contact Craig Brass before hand to see if and when they will get the unit. You may not want to wait that long.

I ordered (and $125 came out of my account after being converted from GB to US to AUS) this unit on the 2/9, cash came out on the 6th - then waited - and waited.

No emails, no contact to let me know whats happening. I managed to work out how to 'submit a ticket' on their not so user friendly website, only to be told that the units are 'out of stock' for 1 to 2 weeks, then I should see it in another 1 to 2 weeks. Great - hopefully by the end of October - 8 weeks from ordering - maybe....

If they were out of stock, why accept my order and money?

On a positive note, I ordered my PC thru MP3CAR store, and received it promptly as I did with my previous order for Touchscreen and Fusion Brain.

Just dont hold your breath for a radio......

Randel: As I already told you in a ticket, if you want a refund, you can have one but keep in mind the price would of gone up by that point. No need for posts like this. Let me know in the ticket and I will get it issued.

Are you suggesting we should not have the unit up for sale every time we run out of stock? That makes no sense. Companies go out of stock all the time and orders go on backorder for when more stock arrives.

    Randel:
I'm in the same boat as you but (except ive been waiting longer) im just going to wait it out, from what ive seen its going to be worth it. i seriously doubt craig can do anymore than he already has to sort it, seing as tho the only options are refund or wait, whats the point in a refund? there are NO solutions to the radio problem that work as well as this.....so just waiting peacefully will stand you in good sted.

Randel, companies make items for 2 reasons, out of stock and incoming orders.
If a company only made items for stock then a flood of orders would always see them out of stock.
If a company only made items for incoming orders then everyone would have to wait and the cost would be higher because of the small assembly runs.
Taking orders while out of stock is common business because it allows them to forcast the demand and appropriately schedule a larger assembly batch. For you the customer it also proofs you against exchange rate fluctuations or postage costs increasing the price.

I am keen on getting a unit, so when would be ideal to send in a request?

I hate waiting so if anyone wants to sell me theres, let me know via PM or I'll wait until stocks arrive, just hope our poor AUD $ gets better against the pound/euro by then otherwise it aint worth it

i suppose the question you should be asking is how long will they be 64.95? beacause you want it at the reduced price, logic suggests that if you order it now, then you will get it as quick as possible....

Correct. Price will be going up any day now - just haven't got around to increasing it. As such, best to preorder it now.
