Thread: FM/DAB digital radio - THAT WORKS!!

Hi, im in Australia and am researching DAB+ integration.

I am about to start building my second carpc, but will be testing indoors replicating the car first.
i thought i'd start with DAB+ as it covers nearly all of our stations here is Australia (both old FM and AM)

If there is anything that i can help with to get DAB+ working, i'm willing to help / test.
I will do some more research in the coming days and look closely at the Venice 7

Do you still sell these radios? any luck with dab+ yet?

Really want to find a DAB+ radio that works in australia or compromise and get an FM radio that will work.

I can assist with a pcb but not a dab+ module i'm afraid. we simply don't have DAB+ in the UK.

The Pure radios we get here don't have dab+ they are just pure dab.

you'll need to sort your software out. Electrically I've tested with a venice 7 and no problem.

Another Australian here, also interested in DAB+
I currently have a RadioShark to modify for FM use but will not bother if this DAB+ comes available.

I sent a message to fire, offering a PCB and assistance to get the DAB+ working and didn't get a reply. I'll open that offer to anybody in OZ if interested.

I am very good with electronics being an electrical engineer and have done many projects for my car, supplying made items for other members of my 4WD forum.

I would be very willing to help get a DAB+ unit working here in Oz and welcome the chance to help out. Ofcourse I would pay for parts sent. And I will be using RR so I could also test that interface as well.

Good to have you on board!.. I have purchased a DAB+ radio (Bush) and hope it arrives today / tommorrow.. it will either have Venice 5.1 or 7.
I also use RR. i think if we both work at this, we can make the Aussie RR community pretty happy

I'm still here, i don't think i got that msg, but i think that RevHeadKev is the best bet to get this working seeing as he is a electrical engineer... I'm ok with electronics / software, but im a civil engineer, so its purely a hobby.
I'm trying to source the parts for a flasher so i can flash the venice when it arrives to slave.
I havent found the latest pcb to build yet (did you msg me here or on digital car?)...

Tuned Wolf sells a flash kit, contains PCB and all components.

Depends if you're brave enough to work with surface mount components really.
