the volume up/down control for the radio (not main) takes ages to work and causes allot of lag

FM is crisp and clear, so is DAB.

Switching from DAB to FM and visa versa is kinda slow (is this normal?)

Switching from one preset in FM to another is slow, but once you've done it and do it again within say 20 seconds its quick....

When in DAB mode i cant figure out how to switch between stations? is there any way to see a list of available stations?

Resumes nicely from hibernate, no audio issues reported yet, tunes all the FM stations I'm used to niceley....

Stand alone program doesn't work on CAR PC but does work on home PC, says something about side-by-side error.

the whole feel of the CF plug-in is a bit "lumpy" if that makes sense...

but overall kudos to you, its definitely worth it, and I'm sure once the bugs are ironed out it should be an ideal solution...

worth noting i was able to just "plug and go" with no faffing around, which is not normal for CAR PC additions.
It would be lumpy no matter how great the plug in is. Its the nature of the firmware, it is just too limited and being forced to work beyond it. It was designed as a clock or kitchen radio with 2x16 LCD and buttons to press. Dont be too surprise if it accidentally come up with alarm clock menu, snooze and timer or something. I dont know how well craig team can patch it all up but thats just the way it is. It is no top secret whats going on in that radio.

It doesn't do anything like that. Our coding makes sure of it.

have we sorted out a suitable aerial solution for use in australia at all?
During purchase of our unit from http://www.coolapplab.com/ultimate_c...ona/index.html you can add a good quality roof replacement, glass mount or magnetic mount. Personally I prefer the roof replacement and is what I use.

Feel free to throw in a roof mount antenna, since this thing has cost me an Kidney

Is it the entire radio you are wanting or just the chip? Maybe I should ship a load to you and you can eBay them

The mag mount works okish with FM but perfect with DAB / DAB+. Glass mount is only good on DAB / DAB+. Replacement roof aerial is the best solution but has a socket for DAB and a socket for FM so you have to switch over. We are working on a multiplexer board to combine the signals which should be out next month.

Just FYI guys - the Tesco radios don't have an SMB connector on. This either needs to be soldered on or just wire soldered directly on.
