Thanks. I am not spending much more effort until I find someone who has tried a "made for windows" one with a 360, and made sure the chatpad still works on the 360. By the way if anyone new to the forum wants to get me information quickly, sending me a PM or email is probably easier than replying to this thread, since it seems that you need at least 3-4 posts before your posts stop requiring moderator approval.

*edit* I just got verification -- the wired Windows controller does work with the chatpad if it's plugged into a 360. Now to finish gathering information, we need to test a normal 360 wired controller with a Mac. Wireless controllers do not currently work with the Mac driver, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm watching the thread pretty closely. It wouldn't be more than a couple of hours you'd need to wait before a post gets approved.

But a couple of hours are an ETERNITY! ;p

On a controller-related note, I was in Wal-mart today and saw that they were selling black as well as white chatpads, apparently (I didn't realize they had both colors). Unfortunately they were sold out of the normal wired 360 controller. I blame Kinect!

I'm still working hard, but I can't say what chances of success I will have. Thanks to all the great work on this forum I caught up to speed pretty quickly, but now of course I'm stuck where people have been for the last year or so.

I actually ordered a cheap ($250 or less) OS X 10.5 Mac laptop because I'm crazy...we'll see if the driver works on it or not. I still haven't heard from anyone who had problems using the "made for Windows" controllers, if they have tried using a normal 360 controller with their Mac yet.

Well I pretty much already answered this question. The lack of punctuation.

You are no good because English is not your first language? I'm just saying give it a try. It might be fun.

I am not sure of a release date, but chances are looking good that I might have something ready by the next weekend or two.

this contest seemingly has gotten RED HOT. there are more then one sources saying in the last week or so that driver releases are near. i would have to say GAF might be in the fast lane though!

last minute donations are still highly appreciated! there are many hours going into this problem, hours i surely dont have!
