*edit* I just got verification -- the wired Windows controller does work with the chatpad if it's plugged into a 360. Now to finish gathering information, we need to test a normal 360 wired controller with a Mac. Wireless controllers do not currently work with the Mac driver, if I'm not mistaken.
On a controller-related note, I was in Wal-mart today and saw that they were selling black as well as white chatpads, apparently (I didn't realize they had both colors). Unfortunately they were sold out of the normal wired 360 controller. I blame Kinect!
hey blizzard with the info you have so far is it looking good for driver for windows i tryed installing mac on vmware and had no luck i almost got a cheap mac but it was older than the macs that run snow leoperd so did not bother lol all involed are doing great keep it up and ill put to pot next month wont be alot about $20 tesco's (every little helps)
No offense intended rifleking, but try some punctuation please... your posts are painful to read.
I'm still working hard, but I can't say what chances of success I will have. Thanks to all the great work on this forum I caught up to speed pretty quickly, but now of course I'm stuck where people have been for the last year or so.
I actually ordered a cheap ($250 or less) OS X 10.5 Mac laptop because I'm crazy...we'll see if the driver works on it or not. I still haven't heard from anyone who had problems using the "made for Windows" controllers, if they have tried using a normal 360 controller with their Mac yet.
I am not sure of a release date, but chances are looking good that I might have something ready by the next weekend or two.
this contest seemingly has gotten RED HOT. there are more then one sources saying in the last week or so that driver releases are near. i would have to say GAF might be in the fast lane though!
last minute donations are still highly appreciated! there are many hours going into this problem, hours i surely dont have!
