Been following this, thanks for all of your hard work GAFBlizzard, I really look forward to this
Also if you could indeed make the Xbox Guide Button (middle button) mappable, you would be my hero.

Making the guide button mappable has been one of my planned features for several weeks after someone suggested it. I would make it initially so you could map it to a simulated keyboard key combination, like escape or shift-tab. The plan is to have it in the initial release too, not just as a possible future update.

Most people want the Big X button to be an off switch for wireless controllers xD

It doesn't do that on PC though does it?
Instead it just turns itself off after a while.

Personally I just push the button on the battery pack to turn it off lol.

I reaaallly hope the research for the wireless controller goes well, as I don't have a wired one, and I don't really want to get one after getting the newer Silver controller with improved DPad and Thumbsticks. The old DPad is ridiculously bad.

New Silver Controller + Chatpad = Ultimate PC game controller!

I am totally running out of time since I need to get packed to go home for Christmas by the weekend, and I'll be gone for a week then. I also need to do stuff to get ready, and I'm doing real-life work all week right up through Christmas Eve. I am trying to at least get something out before I go, though.

Basically, almost everything I want to do for now besides the installer is "done", though there is some quick code/comments/debug cleanup I should do before releasing. I am happy with how stuff works, for the most part.

There are some little details and extra binding features I wanted to add before release, and some controller-specific features so that additional utilities wouldn't be needed, but I have pushed all the other features to my list of things I may add in the future, so those will be upcoming potentially in January/February. I've also been putting off a game engine/game project I had been working on with the help of an artist friend, and I guess that kind of makes them sad, so I want to get back to that next year and maybe slow down on the chatpad work if I get things to a good state. Once the code is released I imagine some talented internet people can help do some of the research anyway.

So, I'm going to try to wrap up a very simple installer/uninstaller if possible. For now, I may just have a zip file to download and an installer executable to run, instead of a fancy package installer. That can come later. Gotta run. Late nights are messing up my life.

We appreciate the amount of effort and time you've put into this, and seeing as we currently have what, 0 chatpad drivers, I don't think anyone in there right mind will be at all annoyed without a "fancy installer", keep up the good work and enjoy your christmas!

PS: Seeing as it will be open source, other people can do the "pimpin", and maybe someone will come along and add wireless support, once you've finished and claimed your prize, you'll most likely gather a team (without even realising it...).

Blizzard, do not rush yourself for our sake .... though a good bug testing from forum users is NOT a bad thing.

Let us test it while you are away, and you can see responses when you get back.

Enjoy your holidays, you have earned it.

Wazza, I think Blizzard does not want others do finish this for him if he can. He sounds like he has set a challenge for himself and personally wants to finish it.

GAFBlizzard, don't worry about folks waiting for your solution. The only factor here would be whether someone else manages to beat you to the prize. The rest of us will survive.

I didn't mean it like that, I meant the driver upon release must be open source, so whats stopping other people from chipping in.
