First off, your comp is blue screening when the wire shorts out because I have a bug in one of my drivers that I still need to fix...the same thing would happen if you unplug the controller while the control utility is running. It should be fixed in the next release.

Secondly, there should be a mouse sensitivity value that can range from 1 to 20 in the chatpad_config.txt file, near the top. Hopefully this will work well enough for you, for now, because I don't have any mouse acceleration built in, which may be what you mean by "spring". Also bear in mind that if you move both thumbsticks instead of just one, the mouse will move faster, so that may help you out as well.

Also...with mouse "spring" i mean....mouse stays in center, moves when u move the joystick, but snaps back in the middle when you let go. I guess not many games need this...i had done it in the past with xpadder, but like i said a while back, xpadder has be blocked lol. but this is awesome xD im not gonna worry about all that for now lol

Yea i know, thankfully i got it to work, it seemed that my old laptop was uhh dying so to speak so i tried it in the new one and got the command prompt to work

anyways

so i tried the control test 2 and it just stays at reading, good news i guess is that m chatpad lights up and everything when i press the keys. ^_^

i also tried control test 3 same thing as 2

so original stuff? could you pm me that then?

no i think he meant he wants to have the mouse cursor auto-center just like it does on the xbox in certain situations. so when you push the thumbstick all the way to the right, the cursor goes to the right of the screen, but when you let go of the thumbstick the mouse cursor also snaps back to the middle of the screen.

Ohhh, okay. I think I actually did do that when I was experimenting. I figured most people wouldn't use it (especially since it would be hard to click accurately) but maybe I will have it as an option eventually. :P

it can work really good with virtual keyboards... just have the keys "stickied" so the cursor gets caught on each letter you slow down on. it makes for very fast virtual keyboarding. thing is, you wrote a driver to make the physical keyboard work... not sure why you would need a virtual one

he might have another use for it though

XD well the game i play is ace online..a flight..space..shooter...MMO? ya lol sumthing like that. During flight is where the spring comes into play :P I dont know any other games that would benefit from such an option though. Im sure ill be fine without it xD

I did some searching, but I can't find anything on this (even though I almost thought someone besides you had reported the 0x00000422 error)...except one thing.

By any chance, do you have the Windows Update service stopped/disabled? I found one mention of something about not having Windows Update running caused a problem with the 1.9 WDF coinstaller (needed for Windows Driver Foundation driver support if I understand correctly).

I did actually have it disabled. I tried the install again after starting Update back up and it seemed like more was happening this time, but after a minute or two it crashed. The original Vista set (chatpad_0_0_3a_winvista) crashed with an error 0x00000002 and the new (winvista) with
0x0000800c, both after clean uninstalls. Thanks again for all your hard work on this.
