Drar - for some reason I do not have the same issue as everyone else with FFXIV. While in game (full screen) if my controller goes to sleep, I have no issues just pressing the Xbox Button in the middle, which wakes the controller and it reconnects just fine. I did however install the drivers from the CD included with my controller.

    Which server are you on?

Sorry to derail from the thread.

Is there any support that is needed to assist with making progress on wireless?

Things haven't been going well in my personal life recently, but I haven't really done much at all in the last 2-3 weeks on the drivers. I'm glad it works for you. If you do encounter blue screens, getting the crash code information can be helpful after the fact. You should be able to get it from event viewer.

My biggest concern would be whether you saw them when you were just sitting at the computer and/or typing on the chatpad, or did you see them when unplugging the controller/shutting down the computer? There is a known problem that I have not yet fixed where unplugging the controller can cause a blue screen while the control utility is still running.

Hello everybody. To begin, I'm sorry to hear that times are tough right now GAFBlizzard, I hope things turn around for you soon. The work you've done here is great. Best on the net in fact, so here I am. I've used XBMC with original XBox since it's launch. Finally got an HDTV and am going to build a nice full featured HTPC running XBMC 10 on Win 7 64-Bit, I think it's unarguably the best media center software solution. The only controller setup I find acceptable is an XBox controller with chat-pad. Please keep up the awesome work. Without it everyone will have lousy second tier controller solutions. I'd be happy to help out in testing (wired or wireless controller) in any way that I can.

hey GAF thanks again for all the great work you did! HOPE YOU GOT PAID!

all hail GAF the 'founding father'

This being the INTERNET I'm sure there are countless other talented developers who may take this torch with GAF's published source and run with it.. someone who may push this to the wireless level..

GAF has decided to donate his prize to charity (see prior posts) One of mp3car's partners has agreed to match dollar for dollar GAF's donation. We'll keep you posted with details. Thanks to all who have been involved!

The Play&Charge kit shows up as separate USB device without any endpoints, so no controller event data gets transmitted over that line and it is impossible to use the controller that way.

I'm assuming no one has made any progress on getting the wireless controllers working with the chatpad?

I have a RRODing XBOX360 - it currently boots up, but I'm sure will RROD again if you try to play a game with it. I'm thinking it will probably work long enough to get the wireless data off of it. I also have several wireless controllers. If someone has a USB analyzer in the Austin TX area and needs these parts, let me know. I think the chatpad drivers are great, but honestly, it's 2011, and not many people own, much less use, wired controllers. It's 'wireless or nothing' for me and many others here.

The only data is sent threw the play and charge kit is the sync the controller to the wireless reciever both on windows and the xbox.

offtopic: how to make controller stay on?

Sorry If this is a little offtopic, but I think it has some relevance. I suspect many of us intend to use the xbox 360 controller w/chatpad with of course carputers and perhaps htpc setups. Gaffblizzards work has been amazing towards this end. But even if we get the wireless drivers there is still one obstacle for me that still makes using it somewhat a problem. How do you guys intend on keeping it powered on? Or is this not even a problem for others? For me, while I am watching a movie it automatically powers off after a few mintues and if I have to pause or mute the movie, I have to wait for it to turn back on. I have found nothing on web with anyone getting around this. I suspect for many of us Gafblizzards drivers will allow us to replace our keyaboards, mouses, and remotes, with xbox 360 comtroller/chatpads. However, all those devices stay on, not the controller. Can this be resolved via software i.e. driver mod or could it only be done via hardware mod. If this can be done via somekind of driver mod, than maybe something to consider?
