I have been hard at work on other Fusion products. I have a new temperature sensor, accelerometer, rotary volume control knob, Mini-Relay board, Mega-Relay board, and a few other things in the works. A $300 sound card and amp probably isn't going to be a big seller with times the way they are. I will finish it, I just do not know when. I am a one man show and have been for a while, so my time is very segmented. I would classify this project as "suspended" until further notice.
I think you may be surprised about how many potential customers you'd receive with a "first to the market" device such as this. My experience in dealing with all the hardware for mp3Car is the things i personally find "expensive" end up doing fairly well. That said, you are one person and are doing a great job of diversifying your product line, so take your time. The onset of tablet installs will mean a product like this well have it's place whenever you choose to further pursue it.

I definitely want to pursue it. I think it will be awesome. Even if only 1 person buys it, I'll be a happy camper. But I have to prioritize until I can order some clones and wait for them to mature.

There's a star wars joke in there, but I just spent 16 hours re-writing a page table allocator :: and code for reading ELF symbols
so I'm too fried to find it.

++ another member willing to solder components and pay 300$ for this. even in raw bare form with no enclosure. as long as whatever microcontroller is pre programmed and can just be soldered in place. definately want to see this product make it. would be one of a kind.

Half the magic goo is in the digital logic control, and that isn't done yet. But I am actually working on it. Once that is done, it should just work. (Should...)
