in vista/win7, users can name them anything they like

but... for your xm/boomzbox thing...i have the solution for you... we could mod your boomzbox interface, and put in a 3.5mm jacks, that could go to the uas4
so all you would need is a uas4
then you can send your xm audio to the uas4, which its out would feed into the boomzbox hd's audio codec
LETS DO IT! See if MP3Car store is willing to sell me another interface, send it to you for the mod, and I'll pay for the time, parts and profit margins to get it to work. Once you're satisfied, then send it to me and I'll see if I can break it.

    lol

    So what about pc-104 boards?
Actually in general do you guys ever use pc-104?

They all have rs232 communcators, and I'm sure there are sound cards out there. Problem being the conversion is to PCI first before USB unless your whole platform is pc104
