Just looking at the API and no need to look up the freq index for reduced scanning any more as it's included there. I'm thinking of dropping the Freq display and showing Channel Alias as its scanning. Thats what I see when looking up info on DAB allocation here in AU and it might be more meaningful, well to me at least.

Just Uploaded app (page 1).

1. Added selection for Start and End Scan Channels in setup.

2. Scan shows Channel.

3. Moved volume controls to Setup.

4. Added a Scan Button and a List view Button to main menu.

5. FM frequency input keypad changed.

6. Unknown extras (bugs?)

Complete App needs to be downloaded as new graphics. Don’t use the old Radio.ini file. In other words copy into new directory and copy your preset files across if you want to use them.

Wow, this is just getting better and better.

I haven't been doing much testing as I am waiting on a new motherboard and parts for a new build, but a quick test just then with the new app and all worked well for me.

I love the volume being in the settings now, as I also use hardware volume control.

One idea I was thinking was to have the Power buttons combined as an on/off rather than 2 separate, and also combining the DAB and FM to toggle between them with the single press.

I am definitely happy to donate some $$ for a Centrafuse plugin that I am sure many others would enjoy. But with the way this app is progressing, I'm happy just embedding it as is!

Thanks for the FB Dexamenus. I keep a separate on/off instead of a toggle in case I need to force an off condition when logic says the radio is on. The On button also serves a dual purpose in the app as well as it’s the drag item to clear a preset - yes I know I could do it another way but I like it on a touch screen in the vehicle.

I see a few guys offering to write a plugin so I’m sure someone will step up to the plate. I just hope a lot of the nice functionally you can do with this module is not lost in trying to minimise the functions for screen real-estate.

BTW I have uploaded a new EXE zip (the small file) which has the finished layout for DAB Scan Start and Finish channels in setup. I also fixed the Volume display in setup not shown the level on entry.

I just posted a NEW small EXE zip (page 1) that fixes a bug in the PORT display in setup and a few changes to correct Button highlighting under certain conditions. Of course Main app has also been updated with the new exe.

Also slowly adding new Layout pictures to Post 2 on page 1.

First, thanks for creating this app. Great job! I'll install it into my car asap with embedding into CF.

One bug I found when trying it out is its support/usage of . and , in non-English regions.

When I select FM, scan to 104,9 so 104,9 is shown in big green letters at the upper left, and drag the 104,9Mhz to a button, the app strips off the ,9 and only 104 is stored. Click on the button and the app initializes the app at 104Mhz, so its not just a display issue.

In C# I use this in my apps to get the local separator (, or .):

Could you modify your app to support countries with , and . swapped around?

I may have found another minor, very minor, visual/behaviour bug:

Click DAB
Click FM
Click FREQ
Click DAB
Screen shows "DAB 1", "DAB 2", "DAB 3", "FM 3", "FM 4".
Is this correct, or should it show "DAB 1 -> 5" ?

Click FM 4, channel changes, not sure why? (Does not update the channel lists on the right to empty)
Click FM 3, channel changes, not sure why? (Does not update the channel lists on the right to empty)
Click DAB, all normal again

Hi Mike,
Wow, fantastic work. Functionality is really getting close to perfection... For those that like a little eye candy, any chance of having the option station logo.png (jpeg etc) rather than station name in the selection list?

Having said that, I guess you are right now concentrating on getting functionality down pat, and rightly so.

I guess if you are taking requests on visuals, may I ask:

* the above
* the ability to change font/font size/font colour in the display section (allows keeping a 'theme' within a front end)
* make skinning possible for buttons/icons etc (not that there is anything wrong with the prog in its current form, but again, just adds the option visual integration)

I realise this may be a bit of a long shot as you may need to redo alot of the great work you have already completed - but just my thoughts
