Thanks JJ, after thinking about it, I’m going to have another shot at it as I think I understand what happening now. High level programming is just a self taught hobby for me. I’m from the old (very old) Assembler days and mostly in Microprocessors and even they are coded in C these days although the tiny units still need assembler if the program is cycle sensitive or large.

As Dabbler suggested, new DLL will have to be coded or the current DLL modified by the designer to access data that may be available from the module but not current exposed through the interface.

If you mean from a song playing on the radio, then theoretically yes. If an internet connection is available a lookup of the 'now playing' information could be attempted.

Practically, not all stations transmit this information, or transmit it late.

To be honest I've never used any of the vehicle front ends that are used by others. They may already support this type of functionality.

Hi Mike,

Great bit of SW. Not sure whether you are have addressed this but after resume form hibernate, no sounds comes from radio. To get sound back, I need to turn radio off then on again. Other than that, very responsive and zippy.

Again not sure whether this has been suggested before but a volume slider on main window would be handy. Maybe by dragging upwards on the sound icon to increase and drag down for decrease?
