I have just added full Font Type, Font Size, Font Colour and Font Style to the setup screen and it’s hardly tested at all. But hopefully someone will try it. Adjust fonts with the Font Scroll slider at 100%. Press the Colour OR Font Button then click on the text you want to change – All text is shown in the Font setting window.
The uploaded ZIP is my TEST application – This is the one I try things on first.
This full app is the last download at the bottom of Post1 called DABFMSa1AppNS.zip
NOTE this application does not scroll the station info it just updates a complete line at a time. Did I mention it’s my test application? It has the same Directory name and file name as the main app so unzip in a different directory.
FYI the application is also completely different in the way the core radio control is carried out.
EDIT: Forgot to add you have to press the List to Preset button on the main menu (next to the Scan button) to update some font size changes at the moment, I haven’t had time to do that auto update yet.
Will there be any Linux support?
Not sure if .DLL files can be used by linux or not.
When I have the time (Figure 6 months) I will be looking at potentially adding a OM skin unless someone else does it first. OM uses C# (Which of course is a .net language)
I am using OM because I will be setting up on ARM as well as PC systems and want them to feel the same. And none of the other big FE's I have seen will work in Windows, Linux and potentially Android.
Also, will this work in the USA? Thought I saw some discussion that the HD radio here in the states is different than the digital radio this is designed for?
Hi fella, as far as I'm aware DAB doesnt work in the USA. It's HAD as SAT radio there. Mick, your app is flying along :-) I've now completed my plugin and released FreeICE 2.0 beta 2.
Did a load of testing but I would be happy to hear any comments you have on it. I've tried to build in some robustness. lol
Hi, last info I had was someone porting the DLL to Linux I will have to follow up the developer as he may have info on that. There is a global DAB site that lists the current world wide status of DAB operation. I donít have the info at the moment as Iím flat out getting time on the PC for the next few weeks.

FYI: Minor bugs with the various text and font selection changes now sorted. Uploaded.
Also the Main app has been modified and uploaded for this new font control system as well.
Wonderfull job !
Is it possible to buy this radio for the france ?
Thanks pierrotm, a quick search appears to indicate that France was going T-DMB so not sure if DAB+ is supported. However a report in 2012 indicated all DAB may have stalled or is being blocked by Radio France.

I like the fonts Mike!

1 more thing, in FM mode, toggle between stereo/mono does not seem to make any audible difference. Mind you, it my just be my crappy laptop built in speaks :-)
Resume after hyb still ok in the test build ;-)
Thanks mos, both apps have font settings. I downloaded the normal "scroll text" version to check that I had uploaded the correct files and fonts worked fine. I have uploaded it again so give it another go.
I assume that the ICON changes from stereo to mono when you click on it. You sre correct in that the small speakers will make a difference, headphones will confirm. FM mode switches to mono as signal level falls below 98% on my board.
I close the app on both sleep and hibernate as there can be the occasional problem with resume from sleep and doing it this way means it always works.
Sorry for late feedback, been busy trying to write a Centrafuse frontend.
Just tested your app and entering the freq manually now works, but can't save (when dragging the green freq to a preset button, it still strips off everything after the ,)
also, an enhancement suggestion:
The way CF works is you only need to enter the numbers 1 0 4 9 and it figures out its 104.9MHz. Saves pressing the . and the button could be removed?
