Personally I haven't been able to get the new board to produce raw RDS data either. Haven't had a chance to check with JP about it yet.

I'm wondering if the new Pro Board has improved RDS capabilities, with the "old" board I can't get any info out. Since you seem to have the new one for quite a while, could you let me know your observings?

Hi and thanks swissdealer. I assume that you're referring to Demo SW supplied by JP from Monkeyboard. I haven't posted source code for my latest APP as yet. I also haven't bothered to get DLL source code as I'm happy with the supplied DLL so Dabbler would be the one to listen to here as this is what he's playing with.

I have been trying to stay up on this thread... I am guessing there is no way to support HD Radio for the US with this board.

Might be interesting to play with just to get FM/AM here in the US but would be nice to be able to get HD since I have numerous stations around me.

I dont have the old board but I do know that the RDS on the new board partly work, I have seen the PS and PTY work, I havent seen RT work at all. The strange thing is there is a station here at 87.60Mhz with very strong signal and RDS capable radio would decode it within second while the monkeyboard couldnt decode at all.

    EDIT:
Just seen radio text working on 105.8MHz (Absolute Radio) so all is good. Im still not sure why 87.60Mhz doesnt get decoded though.

Im getting bad audio interference at around 100MHz on the FM, a tone repeating itself at around 5Hz which seems to coincide with the RX/TX activity and moving the audio cable about lessens it, is anyone else getting this?

Have anyone successfully controlled the module directly without going through the dll?

I find USB cable ground and MB audio out ground impedances tend to highlight USB data signalling interference. A good ground from the module to the PC helps remove it, also it's more noticeable on one PC but not on the other.

I have Program Identification, Program Type and Radio Text on some FM stations but as I don't use FM I haven't really compared this to another Radio for stations that have none, will do when I get a chance.

Correct, no HD so FM is all you're left with unfortunately.

When running on FM you will be much more prone to interference from any nearby/connected equipment. Mitchz tips are good for this.

I'm still only using the supplied antenna at the moment which works OK for dab, but not so much for FM. This probably explains my patchy RDS, as that needs a decent signal.

I have been controlling the module from my own code directly yes. According to the documentation it should be possible to get raw RDS data from the module. But my initial tests didn't produce any.
I'm away visiting for Christmas at moment, when I get back I'll try again with a better antenna.

For anyone trying my APP, I found a glitch with Volume on resume from hybrid-sleep where sleep fails for any reason. The Module sound was occasionally staying muted -fixed and uploaded.
