My board arrived yesterday. Only had chance for a quick play on the bench, but results are good so far.

    Great software Mickz

    Cheers

I’ve been rewriting the app over the past few days, in between dozens of other projects I have on the go and at last had some free time to actually just sit down and just use it. I found a couple of niggles with button highlighting etc and also finished the last of the control button graphics. So the latest version has just been uploaded, because of the graphic changes the full app should be downloaded again.

On another note, I’m wondering what others have thought of the Module, I’m sure that a few had ordered one and were waiting delivery?

    Cheers.

Still waiting for mine to turn up seems the last 80 miles round the globe is the hardest!
Looking forward to trying it out with your well crafted app Mickz.

Had an email today from monkeyboard, they'd noticed that my package was still in customs and wondered if I'd been contacted yet.
Always nice when a supplier chases you and not the other way round! Can't ask for better then that.

You chaps are a credit to yourselves..

Thanks all for updating us on the Module status and glad the SW was of use to someone else.

Found a BUG: There was a problem in Station Rescan logic sometimes not writing a station list. You don’t want to know how many rescans I’ve had to do to test that rescan function while removing the aerial to reduce total found stations.

I have uploaded what I hope is a refined final EXE pending any mods for something like taking key commands sent from an FE so steering wheel buttons change presets etc.

The previous uploaded full APP is unchanged so just the small EXE is needed. Other changes involved streamlining some code and stopping the Station list from being written each time at cold power on.

    Page 1 Updated.

For anyone interested. I have started to modify the second post on page 1 with a small amount of information on using this app.

Got my board earlier. Superb build quality and so small!

Listen now using your app Mickz. Very nice. Not had much time to play, but only have one oddity with longer station names.

    Name: dab.jpg
Views: 543
Size: 80.5 KB

if the screen above, the corresponding stations from 'stations.txt' are

    BBC Radio 4
    BBC Radio 5 Live
    BBC R5LiveSportX
    BBC R5LiveSportX
    BBC Radio 1Xtra

Not sure why there are two 5Live stations. The presets show the full name.

Is the truncation intentional? Just looks odds when shorten to just 'BBC'.

Anyway, as the screen shot shows, I'm off to bed!

Hi Dabbler, I made a small adjustment to Font scaling logic to accommodate. If there is still a problem can you let me know the resolution you are running. It’s shown in settings for manual screen size adjustments.

I also modified the Drag-Drop logic for DAB List buttons to Preset buttons. Before, when you click/press a List button it also selected the Station, now there is no selection of the station if you drag the button. Makes setting presets lightning fast but has the slight downside of not Playing/Selecting the List DAB station if you move the button (drag the mouse) just as the button is pressed.

A second press of the same button does not look for a movement so it always selects. Let me know if it’s a problem and I will put an option in setup. I just love how quickly I can now add, delete or modify presets. UPDATE: That slight problem has been FIXED

BTW: The ability to Rescan and have everything stay the same is incredibly useful, yesterday a new station popped up after a scan, now I have 49 DAB stations.

Thanks pierrotm, unfortunately I have no knowledge of RR or any other FE. However the APP will embed as far as Window Size and Position commands from an FE go. If all it needs are a few key-control commands then I can easily add them but I donít know what any other FEís need to fully work within the FEís definition of embedded.
