BMW Style LED Corner Turn Light - Plexiglass LaserCut
hey all!
just recovered my brain from hurricane Sandy expanses and got this little project created.
What we have is BMW like corner light module, which is pretty bright for daylight and looks nice and consumes only 40mA.
I have regular bulb in the car and it east 2A each and emits too much heat so this replacement will save me energy and makes it cooler in both meaning of that word. Will do more laser cutting to adjust whole thing to the shape of the headlight lense to have more impressive visual effects!
If you like an idea let me know i can lase cut parts for you too

The link in my message apparently was put there by the system.
Are those normally put on the backside of a mirror as a turn signal or as "jewlery" for a headlight or parking light fixture?
Also, looks like if you laser cut your name into them the name will be sort of in the display as "noise"...
this was more intended at decoration for the headlight.. with practical use though as leds are pretty bright! THis can be also used on the mirror but it might be a bit annoying.
as to laser engraved name, it looks fine as long as you are withing readable distance, if you too far then you just see orange strip across whole assembly as you getting blinded by leds
