It would be very easy to build, but there's the issue with programming the chip. AFAIK, there are not many programmers compatible with this one yet. I think I paid over $80 for mine.

Oh, duh. I am such an idiot. I downloaded that from you already. Played with it, but since I don't have the chip does me no good yet. Seemed to work great though.

I have a question about this project. I like lez idea of having multiple board instead of one centralized board. Using your 16f84 / 16f88 chip what ports are needed for ground / data +/- for hooking to the serial port? I can seem to figure that out looking athe source for the chip programming...

Err I forgot what I used!

But it worked and in theory 1 comport should support multiple ic's, possible 10 or so or maybe 20, should only need the pull up resistor changed.

I will dig it all out and get back on this soon, I have 5 weeks to get my car back through its yearly test and back on the road, I have nealy finished my install which I thought would only take a week(oh how stupid) and want to put another coat of paint over it but the weather is wet and I have no cover anymore

Add to that I killed some hardware (only a usb hub, but it links everything) and had to wait for a new one off ebay (came today).

Oh and add to that again, my new improved inverter buzzes one of my amps and the old one didnt so need to sort some filtering.

Thanks I appreciate it. With CF coming out with its now 1.5 soon with its SDK I would like to get a relay control plugin made for it. Been following this thread for a while figured I might try to muddle my way through it but having no luck... There's a reason why I am not a computer enginneer...

I think Wouter (voti.nl) was offering small blocks of ID numbers from his block?
