If you guys need a hand testing out some more prototypes (or I could even build one from scratch) I am a licenced electronic technologist with full access to all types of RF equipement as well as smt rework equipment etc. Let me know if you are interested in a hand. If you want I can even have a couple engineers here look at your design.

    Indeed.

I am trying to refrain from annoying anyone around here with my n00bness, but when I read this thread I couldn't help but be amazed by the technical proficiency being displayed. Just wanted to give props where deserved.

    Thanks guys for your support.

The unit is undergoing very intensive tests (reception, burn-in, etc.) receiving EU stations (a.k.a. beaten to death). Soon it will cross the big lake for some tests on the US band and the RBDS system.

As you have probably noticed we don't speak too much unless we have something solid to present. So stay with us.

    Cheers

    Airhead questions...

...but have you guys got a name for the project? Just looking to tidy up some of the block diagrams for the new carputer.

If the circuits are fairly final then is there any chance of releasing some basic board dimensions?

Otherwise huge cudos. Drooling into my beer on this one. DIY always feels that much more satisfying so a kit like this is ideal!

I agree, a kit would be the ideal solution. I would particularly like to build mine without purchasing the RCA, power, and other connections. I'm just going to integrate mine inside the case.

Height is round 3cm (1.18 inch)
