not by itself, but im sure with an extra bit of code in the tuner/rds receiver program it should be able to. and im pretty sure theres going to be numerous separate programs for this tuner when its released, so i wouldnt worry about a lack of features

If it's in the RDS bit stream, then it should be possible to get at it using any of the proposed solutions.

Usually the RDS streams contains date/time information but somewhere it's not accurate.
if you have a GPS unit, it'll be better to use that data instead.

yep. as a matter of fact, there was a link to a program posted on this very same forum not too long ago where the program extracted the date/time data from the gps data in realtime and would update your system's date and time. might wanna look into that.

The RDS time "CT" is not to trust to much... Some stations don't care about it at all, dayligthsaving time changes takes forever for some stations... And not all radiostations have there "CT" activated on there RDS encoder.

GPS is the best way to set you clock, or seting it over internet using a NTP server.

Soooooo.... how much longer do you think it will be before the testing is completed? I'm not sure what's involved, but some of the numbers don't appear to have budged (or budged significantly) in ages. Are there unforeseen issues that are slowing the process down?

i bet over half this thread is questions concerning the remote possibility of this project being done and waiting for paypal payments, just that they forgot to tell everyone...

i get excited when i see an update to the thread, and so far every time i happened to check, it was another person asking if someone forgot to update the faq in the first post...

i know my post contributes to the very issue in my mini-rant here, but yeah
