Are you looking for someone to invest blindly or could that someone have some advantages (like only european seller for ex.) in trade?
What kind of deal are you guys expecting to make?
I could be VERY interested, let me know if you are too...

If you have a working design why not release the code (under a non resale agreement) and let those with the electronics knowledge and knowhow to make up a design. That way you would get more feedback in more parts of the world and the ones with access to certain RF etc tests could do them for you.Originally Posted by Seth
agreed. id also start taking pre-orders if i were you so you can get closer to that $12K goal.

just to understand, the design AND the softwarepart has been completed?
and you need 12k to start masss production?
to buy the maschinery to produce or "just" to make an firm produce for you?
(I agree with cdrskull)
and thanks for these information, now we really know what's up![]()
12k is to pay a mfg plant to produce them. We will not take preorders at this time.

how about thinking of DIY kits?
if you have a working deliverable, let the people who supported and helped get something...?
You must understand several people did whatever they could to help with this project thinking they could get something at some point... even if they passed hours searching with no results, a lot of the posters in this thread and the older closed one tried to help this "non-benefit project" and now we're thinking mass-production...
Heading to a workable result and not making it available is kinda...harsh.
note: RadioShark from Griffin IS delievering, for 69$US, AM/FM radio via USB.

The Griffin looks pretty nice, but it doesn't appear to have anywhere near the features of the product being developed here. The Griffin probably gets poor reception in a car too (just guessing since most others do)

Let me just say that radio sucks too. It is all about reception my friend. and none of the radios on the market have a tuner that is optimized for the RF conditions of a standard car let alone a car with a PC in it and it isn't optimized for quality reception while moving.
The AM antenna is crap and the fm reception is margininally better than the other radios. I am sure you have read the reviews so you know that already.
That being said i understand your concern but please just bare with us. We are all working hard trying to make this into a reality.
