Allright, I give up... I'm going to be the noob on this one...
What is the advantage of having a 4-channel RCA output instead of having an Aux_In / CD_IN feed to your soundcard ?

The on-board DSP supports 4 channel sound. I didn't read the datasheet in detail but I assume it just mirrors the 2 channel input (or L/R radio outputs) to the front/back channel. It can do it's own volume, fader, balance and mayb bass/treble (again, check the datasheet) control. For people using 2ch sound cards, this board could be installed between their sound card and amp. This would give them 4ch sound for all of their audio, AM/FM radio, and still leave their sound card line-in jacks open.
Alternatively, you can just take either L/R channel pair and feed it directly into your line_in jack on your sound card. Basically, this solution gives you options.
Verry nice, and I must say that is one nice looking prototype

The idea is that you can connect a 4 channel car amplifier directly to the board and control volume by the PC. The board also controls the amplifier.Originally Posted by Maximus
Another thing is that when you have navigation or phone equipment connected you don't need to have the PC running.

I gotta chime in. Decided today to look for my TV/FM tuner. I think I have found it. But I want it now!!!!! Is there an Eta now that you've gotten this far on when it will be done?
