What now for Car PC radio?

With the HU Quality AM/FM RDS/RBDS Radio with Features now stalled or dead, where do we now go for a solution?

The D-Link and Shark option are not really a quality solution and XM is not available in Europe.

Whatever your listening preferences, a car PC, IMHO, cannot be considered complete without a radio option.

    Any ideas?

I've looked at DAB and the coverage isn't great yet.

Ive decided, for now, to just remove my radio from the dash, fit it in the back, and feed it into Line In. I can then use Centrafuse to select it.

I only need 1 AM station!

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I am hacking apart an OEM AM/FM Stereo, remotely mounting the controls and LCD screen/clock and running the audio out to the line in on my sound card. Not hard to do and you get your quality AM/FM. I prefer a deckless install myself so I will be mounting everything so that there is no actual "deck" in the dash, just a few buttons and an LCD screen.

what's so bad about having a HU in there ?
I run my computer sound through the HU and take advantage of still having a full blown AM/FM tuner with RDS and traffic control and the likes and a simple cdplayer for whenever a friend want's to play some of his music while on the road.
