It's an amazing little unit! As long as you keep the impedance loaded correctly it works like a little ripper! I'm glad you had the same excitement as I did when it worked so well

I do get a little static in some areas. Would Quad shielded RG6 soldered straight onto the USB unit from the antenna, improve the reception at all over the current 4metres of RG59U airspaced cable which I have connected via the stock motorola plug?

Is it true that the aluminium braid shield is difficult to solder onto the board?

Should I solder/connect directly onto the antenna or leave the motorola plug in place? (I assume this plug+cable has a different impedance than 75Ohm)

Well I don't have any of the stock antenna cabling at all. I replaced the Motorola socket and stock cabling with all 75ohm gear. It made the difference on my setup anyway. I used 75 ohm micro coax (which I soldered) to go between the unit and the Quad shielded stuff, this way I didn't have to solder any of the RG6 coax connections (see original picture for small section to Belling Lee Connector) to the tiny FM Tuner board.

inniss777 you can't be serious, have you even read the thread. Its right in here. People already have it running with RR and i posted another solution to get it working on this same page!

Dude thats just lazy, I mean theres a post of a guy with it running on this same page. Don't know how much more obvious it can be...

I found this by hunting through another thread: http://www.alibri.it/RRMobile/Silab%20USB%20Radio.htm

Unzip the file and place the "USBRadio.dll" in your /Radiator/Plugins/ directory.

Set Radiator to use that DLL and off you go

does this run under win98? I can't seem to get it to register the dll on a win98 machine... it would be nice if it did work otherwise I'll have to nlite xp.?

I am using WinXP, sorry I cant help.

My radiator also crashes when using that DLL

. Either it crashes or that DLL mutes all windows sounds and never brings them out of mute. Its not shown as MUTE in the Wave/Main mixer.. but all the sound is gone.
