SmoL, you asked if I had tried to manually set the frequency. When I do this, the radio station doesn't sound clear. The radio is definately 0.1Mhz different from any other radio, eg. Car, house, friends etc.
Frankino, you asked where in Europe to buy this Radio, as posted earlier:
http://www.azzurri.com/store/product...fmradio-rd.htm
They are £17 and £6 postage. Oh.....Then bloody VAT at 17.5%
Ends up £27.03
Also having problem with other USB devices causing the audio to break up. As I have the radio stick next to the PC card I have hardwired the audio to the aux in connector.
Remove R2 and R3 (this stops audio being sent down the USB link until I lose the
USB audio driver) and connect two 100nF caps to the resistor pads that connect to pins 1 and 7 on U4. By using surface mount caps stood on end it is fairly easy to solder to. I also replaced R4 and R10 with 22k to get a
larger signal.
With external aerial reception is good when signal is average to good but does
not perform as well as a good quality HU when signal is weak. Still seems to be the best solution for the moment.
Silabs have new device out doing AM as well ..... only info is a press release on their site.
MadMac
no european shops has it in stock? to avoid VAT..

u can find the silabs program on the silabs web site, just search in good silabs usb fm radio and click the silabs link
hey franko, 0.1 mhz is normal here in australia, did you set your region correctly??
I have a similar issue with radiator. It hangs when using the usbradio.dll file. I dont think its radiator or RR - because they work for other people. Additionally, radiator + USB radio.dll work on my home PC with this USB device.
I am running TinyXP Rev5 on the CarPC - perhaps thats to blame - and normal XP on the home machine.. I dont honestly know. But yes, its *****ing me off too.
I'll see what happens when I reformat later in the year.

can someone direct me to what is wrong with a card like this. There are many others that are pci as well. Are they all crap?
If this is answere somewhere please refere me
thanks
After hours of hard work the Radiator now works on both my stationary and carpc but I can still just use it once. On the stationary I had to unplug another usbsoundcard.
As soon as I start changing frequency and turns of the program on any other frequency then 87.00 it wont work again.
Then I have to delete the radiator.ini or change the saved last frequency to 87.00 to make it work again.
The original silabprogram works perferctly and has far faster tuning so if I just could make that integrated in the freedomskin I would abandon the radiator in a split second.
