USB FM RDS Solution with sofware

i'm confused, are there any front ends that just work with the usb radio? looking to build a car pc soon, and i feel the radio isvery very important!

I'm probably gonna get pounced for this, but FreeICE works with the Silabs and is one of the simple-est front-Ends to install.

I am still not getting very good reception with my silabs chip.

funny that, but with my other soundcard, a cheape $9 thing, i used to get sound on the real from the fm.

when i updated my system and got a mb with built in soundcard, i lost it.

seems the drivers for my original card automatically duplicated stereo sound sources onto the rear channels, and the new one does not.

Whats most annoying is that media player when playing mp3 _does_ duplicate the front channels on the rear!

I have not been able to get this working in over a year of trying different drivers.

soudcard that did work for me was the cmi chipset, the 6 channel one, but it was the chipset which could stlll do line in while doing 6 channel out, think it was the lx, or not the later, cant remember
