The frontend developers haven't received demos yet, but we have received documentation. I suspect the major frontends will have rudimentary support for the unit within two weeks of release. My work may take a little bit longer as the sample application applies less to my needs.

Very good!
At last available. Good work guys!
So now I can really think of getting rid of my HU!... hum after I solved one more problem : booting the PC fast!
Will the PIC source code be available? Changing the code will be needed so that I can add some CAN bus feature (control via my steering wheel) directly without the need to boot the PC or before the PC is available.
Thanks guys!

Talk about shattering hopes and dreams. 99 euros, thats almost $200 NZD excluding frieght!. I'd hate to think what the other one will cost.
I still want one, so i will save my pennies i guess.
We are, will have and forever will be...
But not tommorrow!
99 Euro.
if I wanted radio so badly, way wouldn't I just by a cheap HU. That way I know I'll get great reception and I'll only pay about $50.
Forget intergration, how often would u actually use the radio?? I'm missing something here. Someone wanna explain??

Sometimes I get the weird urge to listen to talk radio. Having gigs upon gigs of music on the HD is great, but you can't find mp3s of the latest debate on immigration, etcOriginally Posted by Quattro

i think this is the wrong point of view. AFAIK the concept behind a car computer is to have a all in one solution as replacement for all the stuff in your car. its more equal to a oem navi/radio/cd/mp3-unit which will cost you a lot more.
BTW 99€ are more than fair if the reception and the audio quality (and of course the rds) are ok.
$120 usd is NOT bad for a radio IMO. if it does all it says it will, its well worth it. i want to put in amps anyway, eventually for all its worth.
so say 150 out the door probably when mp3 car starts, worth it, id spend alot more than that on a HU that i want with the same features. and still not have it work with my pc. i actually do listen to FM and AM, and would enjoy it.

Photobucket is being updated, if a picture i posted no longer works, please PM me.
The price seems OK, because it is a small production. Next step: being able to click to pay![]()
The first buyers will test the products for the communauty, so I hope that it will be possible to have HW or SW update in case of major problems!
