I doubt that. I am successfully running my module with the sample HQCT1 and my own software simultaniously.Originally Posted by lchatela
I have an issue with the module and RR.
In fact when resuming my PC, sometimes the HQCT can't be controlled anymore. Some sound is outputted but it is only a noise (no station is received). It is not reproductible each time but I think that it only occurs when the PC goes to hibernation from mp3 reading (and not when it hibernated from radio functions in RR)
Then I need to cut power to the module to recover it. If I unplug the usb, it does not change anything.
I had the same issue when I tried to launch the usb project in parallel to RR. Two programs were trying to access the module and then the module was hanged.
I have to investigate to see if the module is still recognised in the device manager in such cases.
It may perhaps be a problem like 2 launching of RRHQCT at the same time...

Yes but HQCT1+RRHQCT lead to hang my device unfortunately.Originally Posted by aeroanderz
My HQCT is not recognized at a HID Device. It shows up as Car Radio and wants a Driver. Is there anything I can do to install it as a HID?
This item is now is stock on the mp3car store: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...roducts_id=235
Hello everyone,
just checked the module, performance is satis. It fits perfectly behind the harddisk in a Morex Cubid 2699 case. Even the screwholes match. The USB- cable supplied with the Epia M 6000 is suitable for the onboard USB 3/4 connector. A little bit off topic but if anybody knows about a .Net component to use for the HQCT I'd appreciate it.
Still no luck with Linux... sigh...
Damn this is frustrating hearing success stories with the HQCT! Mine's giving me grief. I've connected it up to to USB, and it is detected and I get a new "HID-compliant device" and a new "USB Human Interface Device". But when I use the USBProject.exe, although I can seem to control the radio, there is no sound, and the seek doesn't stop when it gets to a frequency where I know there is a strong signal.
Could it be that I have 3 or 4 other HID USB devices attached, and its not controlling the right one?
If I save the EEPROM, the text file is dumped out with a heap of 00's.
Anyone got any ideas?
Oh yeah, and if I use HQCT2.exe, I can see "Arrival of Car-Radio" and "Removal of Car-Radio" and I plug and unplug the USB cable. So I'm pretty confident I wired the USB up properly. And I find it very difficult to believe that I wired the audio wrong. (But I have checked it and double-checked!)
More testing..
Remove the audio plug from HQCT and use loose wires to touch it onto output from hifi cd player, and the sound works.
Fire up USBProject.exe again, select CD input, and connect pins 11/12 from the optional output plug, and no sound.
So I've pretty much convinced myself that the computer is recognising the USB device, but the software is not talking to it.
Edit:
Also just checked the device details.
One of my HIDs is Vendor ID 04D8, Product ID 000A, which matches with the definitions in the Delphi source, so I'm even more confident that the device is being recognised by Windows.
