HQCT Module (new thread following HU RDS/RDBS)

i ordered and got mine from crutchfield.

showed up in 2 days after ordering. i havent installed it yet, but i will be in the next week.

Have you verified that will work ok? From a clip onto the radio ok standpoint? I bought some SMB connectors to install on an extension cable and they are a real PITA to install. That looks like an XM antenna so I will see if that will work.. if so.. then you probably found the solution.

ive clipped it onto the HQCT and it snapped on fine, then i took it off of it, since i wont be ready to install it till next week. it seems to be the right cable. i used the 40eu20 like diogenesis said and searched and that was what popped up.

We are using a high quality antenna connector (gold) as is used in nowadays front line european cars.
It is a SMB male jack we install on the pcb.

Car manufactures use the Fakra connector which is an SMB inside a square plastic housing, this housing is made so that it is a strain relief for the cable as well as an aditional snap-on locking device.
The Fakra female mates the SMB jack.
(Fakra is a brand name as is Metra)

Watch out, the SMB connector must be a female, the connector on the pcb is the male part!

I too can program in VB, but I too need the "basic" control functions available... Does anyone have some documentation on the software that comes with the HQCT, in reference to what all the displayed info and text boxes do?
