    which software are you using?.. could be an alignment issue.. The free sample software should work, my HQCTS as well.

    well that was my first port of call as thats the web site where you buy them from but when you add it to the cart all I get is "This item is only available for people who pre-ordered" so hence why I ask if you can still pre-order

    well, try to wire it directly to the flux capacitor and see if it boosts your signal

    ok ok, too easy I know

    Pre-ordering is suspended for a while, to get the list to shrink.

    Another 65 people are able to order now, so soon we'll have normal orders available!

    Hmmm, I'm running out of ideas personally... Have you tried using it further away from the mainboard. Maybe some interference from the non-isolated mainboard causes issues...?

    The module should be doing much better!

    i would look in two directions,
    one: use the latest PC software, the early versions did not read out the alignment values from the tuning modules, this results in 'fuzzy' receptions in some cases (the default values are close but not 100% correct) software is available for download on www.datalex.be, on www.xtronic.be from aeroanders, from the Llama (Linux), and i think RoadRunner does it as well (i did not get confirmation from Guino, so i am not sure)

    two: there could be a 'mechanical' problem : The connector on the module (male SMB) has a pin inside. It could be this pin is bent or broken off, in that case you would not get a correct antenna connection, hence poor reception. How to test? Visualy, i use a magnifying glass to check the presence of the pin;
    Trial: take about 1.5 meter (6 ft) of stranded wire, leave as much as possible out of the car and stick one end IN the connector on the module, or, if you can, solder it to the center pin (of the connector) on the bottom side. If you have one around you could do the same with a whip antenna (forgetting the ground connection for this test). If this gives a better result you must check the antenna connection again.

    Diogenes.
