Okay, lets see if I understand this:
So I open HQCT.exe (in my case RRHQCT.exe), change what I want. Close HQCT . Then open RoadRunner , start the radio and listen the way I want.
or is this the way to do:
open RRHQCT.exe, change the settings, leave HQCT.exe open . Start Roadrunner and listen to the radio.
Now , is solution 1 or just 2 the way to do it.

Great, is the new RDS code going to be open sourced so I can use it to help with the Linux version? I should be able to get around to it in December after I graduate, take the GRE, and get Grad school apps in.

Yes I will publish the source... and i think its only needed if someone wants to port to other platforms than windows (and to look if he/she wants to write a driver for another radio)....
as the driver and the RDS interpreter is in .NET may be you can exchange mchid.dll to http://www.sharpdevelop.com/OpenSour...b/default.aspx and you are ready for Linux/Mono !
(I hope Mono develops quickly - .NET RULEZ sooo much)

HQCT -- Help
Last night I received my HQCT.
I connected all the wires to my CarPC, USB header, power, sound out and antenna. I downloaded the latest app from your site. I started the PC and upon startup I heard static. I ran the program and it shows that it is connected via the USB. I have tried changing the channel, switching to AM and just about every other button on the app but I keep getting the same station (with horrible reception).
Please help,
What can I do to troubleshoot this issue?
Thanks

Hi,
sad indeed.
few things to check : disconnect the USB from the module, then cycle the power (power off and then back on, if you can only the module), wait a while then plug in the USB, after that run the program (HQCT or the latest RRHQT), observe the screen, wait till all is stable except the level readout, then type in the frquency of a known (strong) station, hit the 'FM' button, and then 'FreQuency FM'. Observe carefully what happens on the screen.
Do check you get signal from your antenna, if it is a type with amplifier make this amp gets power. Take a piece of stranded wire (speakercable), leave some of it outside the window and (gently, so you dont break off the pin in the antenna socket!) push the wire into the antenna socket.
Question: do you get any reaction when changing the volume?
Diogenes.
