I believe AMD processors are going to get a price cut. This is probably just a way for newegg to get rid of them before hand. (smart I might add).

not so sure. Sure the new duos and solos are whipping the turions, but intel is making a ton of layoffs, and the public is getting fixated on AMD, from all the reports of n00bs that saved money on their AMD setups and had good experiences.

I always feel like the crowd moves very slowly when it comes to being on the ball with PCs. Not that I should talk, the fastest system I have is a 2.4....but then again never needed anything faster as I don't game.

the crowd is very slow to adapt in general.

That's just part of the marketing game.

Hell, most of the people on this board would be considered early adopters!

Personally, all my AMD experienses were outstanding, AMD's so much more efficient that Intel processor, and they are mor clock, and mod friendly

AMD any day, i can't say same about Pentiums, i believe that old IBM power pc processors would outperform intel anyday

btw AMD has cut prices by 40-50% on most procs.... At least their AM2 models (which happen to have low power chips) were cut significantly

Pair this with some cheap ram, a hard drive, a m2-atx. and you have yourself a cheap carputer
