Well most of the connections you will need (constant 12v, switched 12v, start, keysense) all that stuff is under your dash by the sterring column. Easiest place to mount it. Usually a little tuck-away area for that kind of stuff in there too.

K, kinda figured that would be a good place to put it. I just installed it about 20 min ago and it works perfectly and I can even use my remote to start my carpc.

I was looking into doing something like this my self, but I was thinking of doing it so my pc can start the car by voice, do you guys think this would be a bad idea?

I'm pretty sure the consensus will be that it's a dumb idea, speaking practically. REALLY dumb if there's no back up. It does have some cool factor though. You would still have to get around the steering wheel lock, if you have one.

Wait a minute....Just to be clear, you want to remote start your computer then when you get in your car start the ignition by voice? Personally, I don't see the point...

I suppose... just be prepared to repeat yourself a lot. From what I understand there really isn't reliable voice control methods available for the car environment, but then again, I’m a newb…what do I know. Lol Me personally would feel like a goober if I said headlight on and nothing happened, then after like 5 min of troubleshooting I just turned the knob. Good thing my headlights are automatic… why not just get auto headlights? Not sure about the aftermarket availability of those though.

Okay, I'm rambling... it sucks having a boring job...
