I cut off the Dice antenna connector and soldered it to a Chrysler adapter. The reception is the same as using 2 adapters. I do not like it because the center wire on the dice is so small.
You may be correct about the DICE cable. I actually used an old XM cable wire. The center wire is much thicker then the DICE wire was. The XM cable has an smb connector on it and with its much thicker wire i believe it will yield better reception.

sorry abt not posting regarding the software progress... I am currently in Japan on work and have been unable to work on the software. I will be returning in two weeks and hopefully I should be able to get stuff done soon enough.

As for rr support, it currently exists but on basic support. I do have a post in here explaining how to use RR with the app. Please search for it.

    i have one quesiton.

will development of this product stop when the mp3car version of the HDradio tuner comes out in mid/late summer this year?

i hope not since i just ordered one and would hate if it became useless because of the shift in demand.

I believe the DICE unit will stay on track, it has some advanced features the MP3Car unit looks like it will not have, specifically an additional audio input and an iPod interface. The nature of the DICE unit, being something the community hacked together will allow it to be a more open solution, as long as it is available to purchase.

The Dice unit does cost more as a solution, since you need to buy the i-bus to USB converter. I think I saw they are targeting $150 for MP3Car HD radio.

The MP3Car unit will undoubtedly be very popular, but will also be very closed for additional development, this is due to licensing issues by Ibiquity, thanks to the RIAA (can't have people saving HD quality songs directly to their hard drive)

Sorry Mac and Linux guys, for now you'll have to work with the DICE unit.

I wouldn't be surprised if the only way to use the MP3Car HD radio will be by embedding the app into your front end of choice thereby not being able to have a matching skin. I'd also suspect StreetDeck will be an exception, since it is a closed source frontend.

Lastly, it's very unfortunate it is taking so long to get the DICE software side completed. I've owned my unit for 3 months, and have never even powered it up.

Just my opinions, feel free to add your own

the only things working in our favor with this unit is that it has ipod integration capabilities..not to mention its the first to get adopted so there are already some creaters that will probably not buy a new unit if they get their current one to work.

Guys sorry about not being able to develop this any faster. I have decided to make my source code open and will post it on here once i return to the US (sometime next week). This way people can either use it in its current form or develop it themselves.

I will continue supporting this project even after the MP3Car radio is out and will continue to make software updates but at my own pace.

Also, has anyone with the software actually have it working with RR. I do have it working in my car with RR and will post the skin along with the source code once i get back to the US.
