yeah, been looking around at those, just not sure which one's are better then other's... acually I was just checking my funds when I read this. I want to get the adapter's soon cause I get the processor this week and want to be able to test it.

would these be good for the rca's as well, I unlike you unfortunatly don't have a fully balanced system... using jl amps

edit: Holy crap, on a closer look, do you think that it would be worth it using those (if I should) for the interconnects? at 30 each they'd be costing me 210 just on adapters... hate to be asked to be spoonfed a lil... but just started school and a new job so I really don't have as much time to research as I'd like...

for the rca's just read the owners manual. i'm pretty sure you just ground pin 3 on the xlr changing it from 3 wires to two. then just wire up an rca plug. very simple. i can walk you through it when you have everything. if i were you i'd order some 3 xlr cables off of ebay (i want to say you want male xlrs on both ends) now cut them in half. with a multi meeter figure out which wire is pin 3 (if that's the pin you are supposed to ground per owners manual) take that wire and splice it with the bare wire inside the jacket. then you'll need to pick up 6 rca connectors and wire up the spliced wires to the rca's 'ground' and the one unspliced wire to the rca's tip.

oh ok, thank god... just edited my original post. depending on the price I may just buy regular adapters... I have a feeling I'll get some noise if I do it myself. I'm not afraid of doing things the hard way... but only when it's to save a decent amount of money... or if I think I can do better.

you can get them premade for about $9 ea:
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Pair-XLR-3-M...QQcmdZViewItem
(neutrik is a great brand name used in a lot of pro-audio gear. The cables that i had to make used neutrik connectors)

or get these:
http://www.fullcompass.com/brand/NEU...-Adapters.html

IIRC you'll have to solder wires internally on these to make sure you get the correct termination

hey scott, I don't think that the adapter for the spdif would work... it is a female xlr connection, and the units inputs are female as well. We would need a male no?

are you talking about the sweetwater cable? or the neutrik transformer?

the sweetwater cable has the correct terminations.

as for the others, you can get neutrik to build them to your spec IIRC. i was just posting those as reference... but yeah, male is what we are looking for [/gay]

ARGH!!! Stupid website I ordered my processor from blows. I ordered it 2nd day shipping so I'd have it for this week cause I have off Thursday and Friday, but apparently they only do ground for "bigger items", and they need me to confirm that thats ok, yet they called me and left a message at 4:55 when they close at 5:00. So looks like I'm not getting it until next week, maybe I'll see if I can pick one up from a physical store and cancel that one...

But yeah I was talking about the neutrik one

edit: yeah... samash here I come
