Setting up your carpc using the M-Audio 1010LT

So here's what I'm thinking:

The output of the player - in my case CF - needs to be set to 1010LT SPDIF.

I getg no audio when I set it to SPDIF. I get audio on 1/2 when I set to 1010LT 1/2 OR 1010LT Multichannel. This makes me think that my path is broken after the 1010LT SPDIF - namely, in the Console/plugin area.

I haven't found any descriptions of setting up these plugins.

Here are my settings:


M-Audio CP:
Mixer tab, SW 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 all muted. Under this tab, the Master channels are showing signal, and the SPIDF Rtn is showing signal. I have those sliders set to 50% or now.

Input tab, nothing muted, all maxed, no signal seen.

Output tab, all maxed, no signal seen except SPDIF out. All channels set to "SW Rtn".

If I change Ch 1/2 to "Mixer", I get signal in it. But I can't get signal on the others - 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 don't offer the Mixer input option, and I can't get signal on them if I slave them all to 1/2 either.

CF 3.x:

If I go to Settings>Advanced>AudioVideo, scroll to Music Sound Device, and select 1010LT Multichannel, I get sound on 1/2 only. If I select 1010LT SPDIF, I get no sound. If I select 1010LT 1/2, I get a hotter signal on 1/2 than I do with Multichannel.

Preferences: Driver, ASIO. Device, M-Audio ASIO. Channel config, only 11/12 in enabled for now, and only 1-8 out enabled.

It just starting working! I wish I knew why...I was chainging some settings for testing and changing them back - but it's working, xovers on all channels, processing.

Now I'm terrified it will STOP working and I won't know what I did :)

Hi ppl, this is my first post and I'm asking for help!
At 2 days ago my 1010LT arrived and I had kwoning this configurations before, so I do the same thing described on 1st post.
The problem is that I can get signal on console and w in ad w out don't turn to yellow. If i put some music the chanells that i select don't receive any signal.

Alright, I recently switched to two of these sound cards from an Asus xonar D2x and having some trouble right off the bat with these sound cards.

Fresh install of xp can setup everything so sound outputs just fine through Audiomulch. Most everything is at default settings and I am getting some terrible crackling and popping sounds. It happens most often when volume is at 100%, I can turn it down or use Gdelay and drop it down 8-10db and cracking/clicking wont be as constant but still there. Windows 7 there werent any drop outs, in windows Xp I am getting dropouts like crazy. DPC latency checker never goes above 100. Not sure if there are specific settings I have to change. I have used both the internal routing with the sound cards and also used VAC.

I have the cards connected to each other via SPDIF for syncing. Any help or push in the right direction would be appreciated, thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind, it ended up being a driver issue, had to roll back drivers to some older ones and its working fine now.

Hi ppl i'm using the inicial definition described with my m-audio. I was running eqium and voxengo audio delay in console with win seven and enverything's perfect, whem I use voxengo curve eq the music stops for 2/3 seconds lot's of time.
At start I think that was atom D510 but I tested in my desktop quadcore and the problem is the same, with voxengo curve eq the music breaks. Anyone know whats the problem?

I want allocator to, it just work in xp?

One more think, when I use XP with SP3 I install the m-audio driver witch is in site and my menu appears in the old visual..

Make sure you sample size buffer for your soudncard is set high enough, I saw someone recommend at least 512, to be safe 1024 is probably better. That will affect your latency and how it might sync to video. It is a linear phase EQ so it will use more processing power and that is why you need a higher sample size buffer. If that does not work, try electric-q instead. The free version is not linear phase, but the pay version can be. http://www.aixcoustic.com

wow...uhm i'm lost hahaha I had no idea this software would be this confusing. but am i to understand this software is what comes with this card? you really weren't clear about that and i didnt see anybody else talking about it, kind of confused here my self, is this thing really as great an alternative as it appears on the outside, is it as powerfull as a 700$ external car spacific designed processor like the helix p-dsp, c-dsp, alpine H800, rocker fostgate 3sixty.3 so on and so forth. how does this compare in capability wise in pure interest on only speaker control and outputs. they all have 8 outs. 32 band EQ, T\A. where are they laccking in each other. sorry if its talked about in the thread but I must of missed it :)

I can't speak to the abilty of the software to shape the sound, I'm sure it's very good. But, remember there is more involved than just shaping the sound. In order to consider this solution to be in the same arena as any recent sound processor, you will need to consider line drivers to boost signal and cable management to minimize noise. Then you may have something comparable but that would be for the guys that have used both to tell you.

I'd.be interested to know the exact controls of the software how bands of eq and of its per channel or pair and how the incriments on the time alignment
