do you have a stereo out going to the alpine 4 channel and then you let the 4 channel distribute the signal? what on the carputer are you playing the songs off of, and what kind of processing are you using?
I'm looking to upgrade the sound quality of my car audio.
I'm currently using the on board VIA VT1618 Muliti-channel AC’97 Codec hooked via RCA cables to my amp. The quality is ok.
Alpine PDX 4 channel amp
2 6x8 Alpine Rs up front
2 6x9 Alpine Rs in the rear
2 8 inch 2005+ Mustang (Shaker 1000) stock subs up front
I'm not sure to upgrade the sound card to something like the Prodigy Hifi or run sound processing through the 3sixty.
I like having all the controls and processing on the computer, but I may need to also update the motherboard/CPU to do it properly. Maybe the Intel DG45FC?
The 3sixty is nice because of the on-screen interface and the fact it was built for car audio.
My audio tuning skills are about a 4 on the 1-10 scale. But I'm not opposed to a little research.
Any thoughts or better solutions? Alpine PXE? M-audio 1010LT? Something else?
Thanks

I have a 5.1 setup with front/rear/sub connections via RCA.
The amps for the subs are stock amps specific to the stock subs.
I'm using WMP with my own front end.
Processing is done by the onboard in 5.1 mode. No filters are on in WMP.
Thanks
