So as soon as I turn on Audiomulch and open the channels to the 3 3.5mm jacks there is a light static. I'm going VAC straight to the channels. I have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS.
Any advice? Is it the sound card? What sound card does everyone else use? Would a motherboard with 5.1 be better? I can turn down my amp where I don't hear the static but then its not loud enough.
it sounds to me like it's the sound card, though i'm really not sure if there's a good way to solve it-- i'm assuming you're keeping the gains high, and then using the touchscreen controls to modulate the volume..
my system also gets some hiss, but i keep the pc volume all the way up, and use a external volume control(jl cl-rlc), so normally i don't notice it.
